I've owned a few button backs but didn't get a long with them and sold them. I am totally fine with playing a putter that is over a grand... They're tools and are meant to be used IMO.   I d

It's close between my putter and driver. They've both actually appreciated in value

My driver cost $500, shaft $350; 4wd cost $300+, shaft $350.   If you factor aftermarket shafts in my irons, the 620 3-PW was $1500 plus aftermarket shafts = $2200, and SC putter in 2012 was $350.

That total is less than the carbon brakes on the Porsche.  Don't tell my wife.😆

Cmon man your wife doesn't need carbon brakes! haha

An Anser 2, a fifteen-year-old driver and 3-wood, lead tape everywhere on bag-chattered blades, and wedges that look like they've just been retrieved from the RMS Titanic? Any self-respecting thief would walk straight past my little pencil bag if they saw it unattended outside the clubhouse.

In terms of what i paid, it's boring but my Mavrik Max was 649$ Canadian so thats the most i've spent on a current club

In terms of value, don't know, maybe someone would pay for my old driver

-My Epic Subzero is i believe the first lefty subzero head that was made. I am almost positive of that because they were not going to allow lefties on the trip. I was only allowed to go because Phil Mickelson had a hernia operation so they gave me his driver (and the non-subzero to a member here named Rodney). So i believe we have the first 2 Lefty Epics which i like to say are Phil's clubs haha

I have a refinished set of Eye2's but they are not BeCu

130$ 58 degree Big Foot Wedge bought new.

Disclaimer - All my clubs I've bought used or on closeout as I kinda know what works for me, and I've been working more on getting a efficient swing. It seems to have paid off as I finally got down to a single digit handicap, and shot a 77 (+5) on my home course to finally break 80 this year. Major investment - lessons from a pro that got rid of my slice such that I gained distance across the board, and finally getting a putter that suits my eye (Odyssey Versa 9 - the black and white version that i picked up for 60$).

Each club in my set of irons averages out to just over $100 and three of my four wedges were bought on sale for $300-something dollars so just over $100 each. My driver and fairway wood were bought used for about $240 so they too average just over $100. Basically 12 of the 14 clubs each cost almost exactly the same.

The most expensive club would be the fourth wedge, it was a birthday present so not purchased with my usual deal-shopping. Full retail was 150 bucks which seems awfully expensive for a club that I'll wear out in a year or two.

My putter is by far the cheapest club in the bag. I have three ancient Ping Ansers that were all in the range of $25-$50. My favorite one I think was just under 40 bucks.

It's not the most expensive outright but I have about $250 in my 718 AP2 gap wedge alone.

Didn't order when I bought my irons originally. Had not been getting along with my wedges well at all and decided a few months ago that adding the gap wedge was my best option for that spot in bag.   Looked everywhere and luckily a brand new one turned up a couple days later on eBay but ended up in a bidding war.  Ended up having to spend $180 to come out on top and then had to buy a Project X LZ 6.0 shaft and new grip so that was another $50 + shipping and another $20 in labor.

First shot I played with it on the course I hit to 18 inches for a kick in birdie.... worth every $.01.... 🤑

I was told before you get married buy a hand full of guns. Even if they are cheap $50.00 old guns. It is easier to start with a high number and when you want a good one you can say that you trading one for another. Same with golf gear. You are int he wheel house with that collection. "Honey, when wee got married I had 50 putters... same still today!"

Other than the new Srixon irons I purchased this summer, my most expensive club would be my 2003 Scotty Cameron Studio Stainless Newport 1.5 Prototype.  I bought it around 2004 when our dollar was having a tough time.  I think after conversion, I ended up paying around $650 CAD.

$150 for my Cobra F9 driver ordered to my specs this spring. Could spend more, but why?

I have a couple thousand in putters sitting at home, but can only play one at a time and right now it's a Seemore M1 that I picked up on the cheap.

Well I'm not really a gun guy... but I have quite an extensive list of hobbies and I subscribe to this thought process thoroughly. Everything from here on out is "traded" for.
