High right miss

I bob my head too much on takeaway, sometimes roll the face open, and on my really stiff and sore days I get stuck under my shoulders in the backswing and look like I'm mopping a floor - and can't do anything right.

 

Looking at my swing on video, I wonder how I ever have good days, but sometimes shoot in the 80s w a 220 driver and 140 7i. Legit short game.

 

Question: what's the first mistake in the sequence that probably influences the subsequent mistakes?

 

Thanks. Roast me I don't care I wanna get better in any way that doesn't involve diet and exercise, as I work at a desk 10 hours a day and I've committed to dying in my work chair.

 

Apologies if the videos suck. Wife was kind enough to humor me while our 3yo ran around and the 3mo was sleeping inside, hence why I'm fine dying at the desk. Front yard foam balls on the side of the yard where the grass already sucks.

Your grip and your arms sucking across your chest.  Right hand almost completely comes off the club.

 

Your hands Are too far apart, your chest needs to extend Up more and right elbow needs to stay straight longer.

If I can pipe the driver out there and get a good approach strike, I can get up and down when I miss, which is usual. Par 3s I always tee it up, so it helps me make the most out of a bad lick. If I could get to where I didn't mostly waste my second shots, I'd enjoy it more.

I hear ya. Your swing needs a complete retooling though. Previously, I was rudely complimenting your ability to shoot in the 80's, because you look like me swing left handed. However, I'd be lucky to break 100 off hand. So you have some ability, and if you can unlock your swing you will see alot more distance and control.

 

I'd listen to Monte and just go through all of his videos that you can find on youtube. Start with the basics. Do not ignore anything. What did he say first? Grip.

Yeah I think I'm doing a good job finding a way to hand-eye my way to a bad but workable result. I'm getting low 90s occasional 80s out of this, so I think it can only get better.
