Best feeling/softest irons

I hit everything available in Jan this year and went with the 0311 Gen 3 P's 4-PW.  I'm a +1 and of course also tried the T's.  I'm going through some big swing changes and the P's were just more confidence inspiring on forgiveness without having to deal with flyers or inconsistent ball flight.  The feel across the whole line is incredible and I would definitely describe it as soft.

Mizunos have gone away from soft mushy feeling to more firm but solid while sounding soft.

I completely agree with this.  The models after they started adding boron (JPX 850 Pro, I think) felt different.  I'm still playing MP54s because nothing I've hit recently feel as good.

Can't comment on the Srizon's or Muiras - haven't tried either (though I want to hit the Muiras)

My answer would be between MP4 and MP-32 (which are my backup set).  Nothing else comes close to me...

I haven't read all the comments but if no one mentioned the Wilson V6's, they should be in the picture.

Seeing as they are available in lefty I am happy to suggest the Nike VR Pros - haven't felt anything that comes close to them, even Mizuno. Soft but not mushy, crisp but not clicky.

Now that I've got 45 holes in with them the Wilson V6 should be the poster child for soft.

This one is tricky... best feeling and softest may not be one and the same.

I think the T100 irons I have feel absolutely amazing.  Yet someone else might say they feel too clicky and like something else.  And that other iron to me wouldn't feel right because I'm not getting enough feedback.  And someone else might find the T100 too soft and like a club with little to no feedback that is cast, and they think that feels the best.  And the shaft flex and ball firmness will alter all of this as well.  So it's very relative to the person.

The one thing we can all agree upon is, a well struck shot from the sweet spot on any club feels pretty darn good.

I have sets of 620cb, baby blades, and Gen 3 0311t/p combo set.

PXG is softest on average

miura is soft, but deeper impact. You feel more ball compression so if you’re playing a harder ball like ProV1x, mtbX, tp5X, you will feel that ball firmness more with the Miura than you will with the PXG set. Ive hit the Miura with Titleist professional 90s and it feels like kissing a marshmallow it’s so soft.

620cb are fantastic clubs and feel great, but they have a firmer feel than the other two.

Before I upgraded from 716CB 3-PW, I was already thinking about 620 irons.  My criteria was 3-PW and did NOT want strong lofts which left a limited selection of sets.  So, I decided to skip hitting other irons and buy Titleist 620 CB & MB's iron sets, glad I did too.  They are soft like Irish Butter, and with PX 5.5 shafts I get pillow talk to my hands.

I have owned other blended sets including 735.CM which only lasted a year because the CB long irons are too often difficult to work.  Titleist 620 are the best blending of irons I have encountered, can't tell the difference between 620CB 4i and 620MB 4i, both are 180+ carry dead straight in my hands, and I never had to look up to see where the ball is going.  Pillow talk is so nice.

i tried almost everything I could find last spring/summer.  The mizuno mp are what I ended up with.  The srixon 785/985 were in the mix but how the soles interacted with the turf was a concern, not sure if it would have worked out, just different.  That being said the softer the club the faster the faces/grooves wear out in my experience.  great feeling (soft) clubs have to be replaced sooner than harder versions.

Sorry for the necro thread, but I'm on a quest to find the softest irons I can... And yes I'm lefty. I've hit many of the irons here mentioned and I currently own the Cobra cb's (the most recent version) and also Wilson V6s. Both sets feel very different, and I'd say the Cobra feel more "crisp", if I could describe it. The Wilson's feel super nice though, honestly I'd put it up there with any Mizuno I've ever hit.

I've hit 785's and T100's, and to me those just didn't do it. More solid feeling than soft... Again not bad, but it wasn't that "melt into your club" kind of feel. I owned Miura 801s for a while and didn't think they were the softest either. Again... More solid/powerful than soft. One club not mentioned though that feels very good are p760's.

With that said, I'm very interested in the old X Forged (2013) and also the PXG Gen3/4 0311T... Just need to sell a few more items before I drop another $500+ on another set... 😄

I still haven't hit Miuras and I only have the Mizuno MP-32 6 iron, but dear lord I love that club. I could see a full MP-32 or 32/33 combo set.

I will likely get a set of Miuras either this year or next to try. My KZG blades are butter. At least as good as my Mizuno.

Honestly, if youre looking for the softest feel, it would have to be one of the Japanese Made Forged Irons. Mizunos, Srixon, Miura, Fourteen, Honma, etc. Personally, the Mp-18 and Srixon Pro-100 have been the most softest for me. The Srixon Pro-100 was actually too soft for me to play consistently so I had to put then away.

Hey thats what i do.. i contribute. Also... just got some hogan forth worths that feel very soft even on some miss hits. The funny thing is... their is soft... and then their is softness with a great virbiration sensation. I only think that comes from a great iron head and shaft combo.

I used to roll my eyes at the Endo hype but my 1999 Apex blades have showed me the light. I bet most Endo forged blades perform very very highly on the soft but powerful scale.
