Game Improvement irons with less offset?

You could bend your irons a little weak; that will reduce offset.

You can bend cast, to a point.  Might be worth a quick call to a fitter or Cally customer service just to verify that the metal composition used can be bent safely.

Titleist T300 irons are GI with reasonble offset!

Hmm - that table looks odd - the offsets are *increasing* as the clubs get shorter...that's the opposite of progressive offsets? Or are the offsets missing from the table?

You´re right, that is odd...

Any JDM-fan here who can explain that?

I found this thread

which suggests that the offsets are these for the MX-200 irons:

Club Specs
Club LH Loft ° Lie ° Offset " Length " Bounce °
3 Yes 20 59.5 0.211 38.75" 1
4 Yes 23 60.0 0.201 38.25" 2
5 Yes 26 60.5 0.191 37.75" 2
6 Yes 29 61.0 0.181 37.25" 2
7 Yes 33 61.5 0.171 36.75" 3
8 Yes 37 62.0 0.161 36.25" 4
9 Yes 41 62.5 0.152 35.75" 5
PW Yes 45 63.0 0.142 35.50" 6
GW Yes 50 63.0 0.122 35.25" 7
SW Yes 55 63.0 0.102 35.25" 12

If this table is correct, then the MX-200's offset is quite a bit more than the PXG Gen 4 XP's in the irons from 7 iron and shorter, but the PXG XP has more offset for 5 irons and longer (they're about the same for 6 irons). So the XP's are more progressive in that sense.

Different clubs I think.

FP seems to refer to face progression...

Quote:

Face progression is defined as the position of the leading edge of the clubface in relation to the centerline of the hosel. The higher the number (3.5mm ~ 4.5mm) the more face progression the club has. 0 face progression would mean the leading edge of the clubface is in the same vertical plane as the hosel's centerline (which we would normally refer to as an offset position). Offset is defined as the position of the leading edge of the clubface in relation to the leading edge of the hosel.

This is a perennial question, and as usual there are a couple of active threads floating about.

I'll give the same response I usually give.

The GI clubs with the least amount of offset are whatever the current model of the Cleveland Launcher hybrid irons set is.

This was true of the classic Altitudes and is true of the current HB Turbos.

The 7 iron offset is .07 inches (or 1.7mm).

No other GI set (or even Player's set) comes close.
