Danny Lee 6 putts last green, slams putter into bag several times, withdraws due to wrist injury!  Does anyone know if he still gets last place money?  If not that cost him about $25,000.  And why not just send me that Scotty if you blame it.

I wish I was as well balanced and peaceful as some of the angels on this forum. The game has done my head in many times. I would draw the line at endangering others or attacking camera operators.

Danny being from Korea then New Zealand from 8 years old he pops up in the headlines here when he plays well... basically only because we have very few pros playing on the main tour but he treats New Zealand like Sh#t and always has. He's played in the US for 10 plus years mainly on the PGA tour, made plenty of $$$ about 14 million but never plays in New Zealand, flat out refuses to play the New Zealand Open each year claiming he needs to keep his tour card.

 

Multiple times Danny has been booked for media interviews with New Zealand press at a time convenient to him but being 03:00 in the morning in New Zealand, journalist gets up waits, waits, tries to contact the manager and Danny cancels.

 

I have huge respect for Korean golfers, amazing work ethic and Danny does posses this too but for players like Sang Moon-Bae whom complete the 2 year compulsory army service really struggle to get their game back after the 2 years- it's a well known fact that Danny only keeps the NZ flag to avoid him doing his 2 years in the Army.

First time I've watched it.  I had just assumed these were all "real" putts. I didn't realize that after the second one back up the hill he turned it into a total joke.  Pretty embarrassing.

The fact that a player like Danny Lee can earn over $2MM in a year like this is just nuts. I cannot think of a single shot of significance this dude had all season and I watch these tournaments every week. Every single golfer like Danny Lee who have more notoriety for tantrums like this should fly to Jupiter, FL on a NetJet or Wheels Up or whatever and kiss Tiger’s hairy beanbag.

He did issue an apology but it wasn’t a good look. It really doesn’t make me like him more or less. He didn’t hurt anyone except himself. It was disrespectful and not professional but I guess things like screaming at Marshalls or brushing off fans bothers me more. It is true Tiger did a huge amount for all these guys.

If Reed can overcome blatant cheating, I suspect Lee will have little trouble overcoming this, especially given he's not a big name anyway.  But I did kind of enjoy seeing him express the same emotion putting that I have at times (minus the bag whacking).

I understand the practical difference and why things do/don't happen.  But I also find it hilarious when people find reasons to rally behind Phil but lynch this guy because he's a nobody.

This kid is getting lynched cuse he withdrew, not his baby act. If Phil withdrew after is baby act he be lynched too.

Being that it did not happen at a PGA Tour event, I doubt the tour would suspend him.

and I'd say it's both.  That act on the green was pretty dang embarrassing.  Like I said, initially I thought he genuinely putted every one (like Els at whatever tourney that was where he five putted) until I saw the video.
