Are you sure? I just built up a Raw SM8 with a pre-worn leading edge and it looks to be about $274

LOL, I hate it when they get in the way of good point.

Um...Yeah.... you can't currently even order a STOCK 58* from their website, due to the fact that they are out of stock. Maybe they should fix their stock issues first. Also, I ordered a set of 785's from Srixon (same company)... They are arriving today..... more than a month after I placed the order... so be prepared to wait.

Black Satin is gorgeous. Will it wear like typical dark finishes.

PVD finish. Pretty standard in the industry. Not as good as DBM, and will show wear over time.

So October 2nd release? So does that mean no pre-orders? I don't see an option on cleveland's website to customize grinds.

It's there for Raw finish.

Hard to escape Wedgeworks for less than $225. Any grinding moves the needle closer to 300.

TM My wedge program was $225 without grind options.

Cleveland's pricing seems to fall right inline, although I do agree that some of the shaft charges are odd. A Modus 120 is an extra 40, but the Modus Wedge 125 is free? In the end I am trying to stock spinner shaft, so it doesnt matter much to me.

I was actually really impressed with the new Spinner shaft as well, it really did perform well.

Do the grinds change the finish? If I get a raw with a grind, does the finish now become hand polished?

Yes. Raw with a grind will be hand polished, but will still rust and patina over time.

Are these shafts just “Tour Issue” due to weight sorting like other DG shafts or are they quality shafts?  The original spinner shafts were terrible if you want to take a full swing

Tour issue is a name True Temper DG uses for shafts within 1 gram of weight tolerance.

The original spinner had a thinner section just below the grip designed to increase spin. It was hate it or love it. The new DG spinner is not such an odd design. It's really patterned after what we used to call "Tiger Stepping." Alot of guys on tour cut down an 8 iron shaft to play in their wedges. Cut down, this shaft would be slightly lighter than the wedge shaft and have a longer more active tip. The new spinner is slightly lighter than the S400, and has a more flexible tip for more spin. So there is no ground breaking technology here. Just the convenience of a tour proven method with off the rack / stock availability.

Very impressed with the Spinner as well. Played in 2 pressure matches over the weekend and hit some really good shots with them. You can feel the kick is much more pronounced but the ball did exactly what it was supposed to and did not get away from me once.

That is good to hear. Glad it isn’t the same spinner that was released a decade ago

Slightly lighter s400 at 128g with a more flexible tip sounds perfect for a wedge.

I like it. I liked the original spinner shaft in a 60 degree wedge.

After playing with them for a few weeks, I think the spinner will be my new go to wedge shaft in any new wedges. The original S400s were always good to me but I think this one is better for my game. I play PX in my irons but the shaft has made me wonder how well I would get along with a full set of S400 TI soft stepped in my irons. Never like DGs that much but its got me thinking. There may be a winter experiment coming.
