Clicgear 8 - large staff cart bag

Good day,

 

I am thinking of getting rid of my stand bag since I do not carry anymore.  Does anyone know of the Clicgear 8 pushcart can accommodate the largest staff cart bags?

Clic gears will accommodate almost all bags but you might want to opt for a sensible decent size cart bag. The one time I saw someone using a giant staff bag on a clic gear it looked pretty bad, like a 500 pound person riding one of those little scooters in a Walmart.  ?

Staff Cart Bags have that Giant pocket on their curved front that gets useless on a push-cart or cart - hence a caddy carry on the tour.  Big Cart bags like SM C-130 or Ping Pioneer have all the pockets facing one-way useful for carts and push carts.

Clicgear 8.0 was specifically designed for larger bags. They promote this themselves.

Keep your stand bag and use it on your push cart.  I use a stand bag on a push cart at times with no problem and it's approx. a ton lighter than the "largest staff bag."  If you're looking for an enjoyable walk on the golf course with a push cart, why ruin it with the largest staff bag???  I have a huge Adams staff bag and i bought it for about $25 for use in the garage for storing extra clubs. But, to each their own!

Don't do it.. I used a mini-staff bag for a little while on Clicgear. Fitting isn't really the issue but the bag is really not designed to be put on a cart. It's largest pocket is in the front, and valuable pocket right above that. Putting it on on a push cart renders both of those inaccessible. You even have a very hard time getting to the side pockets that face forward. A cart bag,  on the other hand, is designed to be put on a cart so they put all the pockets facing the back where the handle is. You don't loose accessibility to any pockets. As big as they are, staff bag really doesn't give you that much more storage space. 

 

A second problem is the weight. Staff bags are really heavy. It may not seem much lifting it out of your car putting on the cart.. pushing that 7.5 miles does give a good workout.. especially if the course is hilly.  You'll really feel the weight when you have to take it off the cart and put it back in your car. The problem is you lug all that weight and not gaining anything. 

 

I just bought a good cart bag and can't be happier.

I beg to differ. The Sun Mountain cart bag is designed for the bag to fit only one way on a Sun Mountain cart and that is with all the pockets facing away from the cart.

WTF are you talking about? Did you even read what this topic is about? 

OP is asking about putting a STAFF bag on a Clibgear.

That is incorrect. On a cart bag all the pockets face AWAY from the handle. I responded to what you wrote. Have a nice day🙂

Ah I see what you meant now. Well, there are definitely more than one handles on cart bags these days but you are right.
