Scotty Cameron 2021?

Love the look of the 11.5.  It would be in the bag at release if they offered it with the slant neck.  Hell the 7, 8, or 12 would have already been in the bag if they offered them with the slant neck.  The low bend shafts of the .5 were never adequate for my putter stroke.

How many degrees toe hang are the .5s?

Anyone have insight as to empty head weight of the new 11? Looking to order a 34" but want the head to be 350-355.

34" is at 360g. Freaking heavy on paper but will have to wait and test it out.

Agreed..would be awesome to have a slant neck.  But...makes the choice a bit easier.  x5.5 FTW.

I just saw these after Homa win with the 11.5. Why does Scotty pedal this low bend shaft vs just making the short slant neck? I’m guessing it’s a cost thing, but I assume most who want toe flow on the mallet would prefer that configuration. I especially don’t like that he finally did it on the 5.5 but not 11.5.

Dunno if you saw this, but the custom shop is so backed up right now, they aren't doing any restorations.  That's not what you want, but if they're that that busy right now, simple paint jobs etc might be taking a little longer than usual.  Just something to think about as we hopefully might be at least approaching golf able weather in the snow covered parts of the country (lol months away for me)

Good to know. I’m planning on ordering the new 5.5. Probably wouldn’t even think about sending it in until the winter. No way I’d want to be without it this time of year.

Yah, if this is your first scotty, I'm sure you'll love it, but make sure it's gonna stay with you before paying the freight to get colors etc at CS.  It can get quite pricey fast.

From a fit standpoint, any recommendations on how to get the right setup on a putter that hasn’t been released yet? I don’t need to get crazy with the fitting, but was hoping to get fit for length, loft, lie. Could I just use one of the prior model phantoms?  Thanks in advance.

Yah, that would get you in the ballpark

Which one are you looking at again?

I’m looking at the new phantom X 5.5. I love the look of it. Always thought I would go Newport 2 when I finally got a Scotty, but I’ve played a mallet for years and the new phantom X looks amazing

Yeah, that's kinda a new one with the slant neck

people real excited since it's basically an IBJT without the welded neck

looking forward to that one too

I'm very excited about that specific one as well. My only fear is how it will sit.

I've just had too many mallets (which may be because of my specs, I like them a degree or two upright and loft down a degree or so) that just sit open when I sole them on the ground. I play them for a while and then invariably just go back to one of my blades.

Seen the 5.5 today...rolled the 5.5 today...fell in love with the 5.5 today. Seriously though this is a phenomenal putter and the overall shape, milling, and head size is perfect. The slant neck is great. I rolled the 35” putter and Swingweight came in at E1. This will be in my bag this year and for a long time.

How big is the overall size? My main concern of these mallets is whether the size is too big.
