Decorated balls

I saw Rickie Fowler and Matt Wolff each using a ball with decorations, special factory markings, during the Open. I don't know if the same ball or not. 

Looked into TM PIX ball, as Rickie used and saw the cute little triangles, all colored so pretty scattered on the ball.

Anyone here using such balls?  A few years back Callaway put out a ball with a soccer ball design but i never heard of any pro using that ball.

Surely pros like Fowler and Wolff would never accept an inferior ball but do such balls offer any advantage for the 'normal' player?  And what advantage to the pros, except of course a marketing fee paid every time the ball shown on TV.  As a practice ball, yes, they may indicate some element of side spin near the green, so could be useful there.

Any opinions as to the merit/demerits of such balls, and do they come in colors?

What you saw is the TM TP5/TP5x Pix 2.0 balls which I have been using recently with great success.  I had already been using the TP5x so when these new pix 2.0 balls came out I wanted to try as I tried the Pix 1.0 ball and it wasn’t for me, both pattern and the lack of the TP5x, didn’t perform the correct way for me.  
 

maybe just coincidence but I have been putting great with the Pix 2.0 as the triangles when the ball is rolling give instant feedback how it was struck and its rolling.  I would highly suggest trying a box!
