Titleist rep came by the club with the new sticks.  TSi3 is awesome!  Asked about TSi4 and he dropped the number 425cc and thought it looked smaller than my TS4

Prefer what I've seen of the TS4, but then I would say that, as I have one on order.

425cc is great news to many of us who prefer a smaller headed driver.

When I hit the TS3 and TS4 last year the TS4 felt so much better and was smashing it.  This looks good and I will try it but Why do we have to have smaller heads in order for them to be low spin?  Why is there no adjustability like the tsi3?  Why cant titleist come out with a matte option?  If you want to keep the classic gloss, great, but offer the matte as well!  I much prefer the matte colors and pretty much every manufacturer has a matte option now or carbon in the crown.  Carbon I think helps mute the sound so again why are we inching forward when other companies had this tech years ago?

The CG is closer to the face with the smaller head.  This lowers MOI but, lower spin can come from a lower MOI (gear effect when contact is made slightly above the centre line).  The trade-off is that the club is less forgiving / worse on mishits vs the 460 cc counterparts (although all of these modern heads are relatively easy to hit.  I notice a big difference if I drop down to ~340 cc or so).

I was looking at this and thinking man that looks like the R9 Superdeep. From above and the face it's very similar. Haven't seen my R9 in a long time, so I may be off, but that's definitely the impression. Curious to see how this plays out.

After seeing how gorgeous the TSi3 looked in person this thing better perform like hell to beat that for highspeed players, its probably the best looking driver at address in the last 8-12 years

I just pulled out the R9 Super Deep from my club library and while the depths look similar the overall shape of the R9 SD has a more refined shape where the "4" looks more like a "sloppy blob" without definition. Sorry to those who might be insulted. But that is my opinion, I need a driver to have a "tighter" and more defined shape. The 4 just has a "spread' to it which is distracting to me especially when compared to their other models and other companies clubs.

I agree the TS4 def just looked round with a flat face. Not the pear shape I would expect especially having been playing sub JDM drivers for years.
