Here's an answer I got from a dealer:

"Thank you for your email. The chrome is not available yet and they do not have a release date on them.

The Luxury Black finish ones are install only and can be ordered in sets only of 2-PW, 3-PW, or 4-PW, these are very limited."

The LB shaft can't be bought separately. You have to send your clubs or clubheads to a dealer for them to be installed. It probably won't be that way for the chrome but no timeline on when those would be available.

I have a set of 115X on the way in black - anxious to test them next to the 120X

My set of P770 with the 115x black will be here next week.

If they dont work my set of Proj X LS 6.5 shafts are also on the way and waiting in the wings to replace my AMT White x100 or the 115 black x.

Love this time of year for testing.

I’m in the same boat- currently testing the PX LS 6.5 and loving them. If the 115s can’t beat them, I’m ok with that.

Did you have to provide your club heads in  order to purchase the 115s?

No...this was a Pro Builder set order with the 115x.

As I understand it, they can only be purchased as a set (i.e. 3-pw, 4-pw) so either one provides club heads to the builder or one purchases a set of clubs and has them reshafted with the 115’s. Is this what you did?

See above pic...these were built with the 115x by a Pro Builder and I was the purchaser.

Really?  This was always an early 2021 release with Nippon/covid delays.  Just because it was announced, does not mean it is immediately available for sale.

That's not helping my own winter rebuild program.

From a marketing sense, announcing a product that won't be available for six months isn't such a great idea when you also provide the specs at the same time. Your potential market will take that information, compare it to the competitors and decide if it's worth the wait. The true believers, that don't get the LE Black, will wait, but will the masses?

Yes, the masses will wait.  This site represents 1% of golfers.  Most golfers will wait until it is a stock offering in fitting carts, and that will likely be in 2021 if we are lucky.  If someone really wants them, they will wait.

Automotive manufacturers have a similar marketing approach.  They have no problem selling cars.  Look at the new corvette as an example of having to wait.

Also, Nippon has to manufacture 10’s of thousands of sets to meet demand.  Otherwise widespread shortages will also hurt them.

I am with you on the winter build aspect.  I was hoping for a 115 option this summer before they were announced, and was pleasantly surprised by the new release.

This silly season of golf announcements is just ramping up for the pga show.  More information will start popping up soon.

Good points. I guess it's only us golf degenerates that care. Don't hold you breathe though. Information from insiders is that the Chrome will depend on the feedback received from the LE Black. That actually makes sense when you look at the specs.

I got responses to the questions I've been asking.

So Nippon’s own press release of a 2021 release is wrong?  Golfworks email response to me is wrong?  THP thread about this is wrong?  Sounds like your source and you are spreading false information.

1) Unless you're looking at another Nippon release other than the 1 November message in which the word "Chrome" never appears, they have not said whether it will be offered.

2) We probably got the same answer from Golfworks "not available yet and no release date at this time."

3) Haven't read THP, but Plugged In Golf did a review in which they state "Once those [LE Black]are gone, the standard chrome finish with red graphics will be available."

So there's your hope. Your availability will likely depend on 6,000 others going first. How long will that take? Who knows. We all have a choice. You will make yours based on the information you receive, I will make mine based on the information I receive.
