'Something was definitely amiss this weekend. She didn't have a birdie on her final 30 holes. That's so not her. She hasn't had a top 10 since Aberdeen. I wonder of the injury is worse than it seems.

I think Saturday she did pull something and it actually did kill the end of her round.  Sunday when I seen shots from her she looked more lost and bewildered than anything.  I think she too like Minjee got a little tired, but took off Portland after the ANA and came back strong with 2 very solid rounds.

The announcing crew mentioned that Danielle woke up Saturday with a stiff neck and/or shoulder. She did manage a birdie on the 6th hole, her last of the tournament, but you could see she was grabbing her shoulder area.

It is amazing where SYK stacks up vs. the other Koreans.  A lot less love and press coverage but the numbers are what they are.  I've never been a big fan of hers, but glad she could win. 

 

I'd slow the presses on 27 HOF points though.  Will be interest to see if she or one of the others can become the clear cut #3 among ROK players.  SYK has the total wins, just needs a couple more big ones (or some of the others with two majors need another major win or two).

Yes, that's a long two months for Hinako; I hope she comes back to play USWO and play well!

I hope she does too.  She's a good player and she did well in patches here ... she just couldn't put together 4 good rounds.  She is definitely loved by the Japanese media too!

Hinako is loved the world over.  She's 484,000 Instagram followers; more than Lexi, more than any active tour player in the world.  To her credit, she knew it wasn't going to be easy!  That's why she declined the LPGA membership last year.

 

You and I know it's never been easy for young and inexperienced LPGA rookies; Hinako is no exception.

Make that 484,001 but under my wife's name (I've forgotten my IG account password, and sign on too i think LOL)... there's always a reason to a story -- for a while there I was wondering why not join the LPGA, it was a shoo-in...  now I know 🙂
