Now that Harry and Chad are gone, that company may soon be joining Nickent. That is one fugly driver.

I own the Flash driver and fairways and to my eye this one looks better.

Anyone know the head shape relative to prior models. The one issue I find with Callaway is they are constantly changing the headshape. Epic was different than Rogue which I understand, but then Epic Flash was different than Epic and Mavrik was different than Rogue.

The Epic Max looks better than Epic Flash?

I'm just going off the pics floating around of the new driver.  While I like neon yellow/lime as an accent color the normal yellow on the Flash was a turnoff for me.  So I am glad they removed it.  I have no clue what the shape of the driver is, my comment was based on the color way.

One could argue that if they don't change, others would argue that they continually use the same shape with no innovation.

For me, I like the various options.

Mav standard was pretty classic in shape, slightly smaller looking than the Flash.

OG Epic was pretty elongated like the Rogue and Mav Max.

The Flash sort of sat in between the std Mav and OG Epic size wise.

The Fusion and Bertha B21 are triangular.

Different strokes for different folks.

I see where you are coming and agree  I just find it harder to keep switching if I like looking down at a head shape and the latest model has changed.

it’s far easier to go from Ping G410 to G425 given the heads are similar and then just worry about performance for me.

That being said there is something to be said about a brand new look with new technology and how it just feels like more of an upgrade!

They look nothing like what Xander is playing. I can’t give away too many details but as far as the new jailbreak, they are no longer bars, they changed it to a rectangular bracket (the tip of the crown still flexed apparently, at least that’s what they say 😂

The Apex line will only be available in brushed chrome, Apex Pro will compete with the hollow body lines from other OEM’s, lots of tungsten, no exchangeable plate, more of a black badge, they look really, really good (think of a sleeker Mizuno T Zoid)

6 new versions of the Stroke Lab Ten

3rd ball in the chrome soft line

The New Apex pros sound awesome. Any pics of them floating around by chance? Love the brushed chrome look over shiny any day! Also is the third ball going to be firmer than the other 2??

Got to see the new offerings on Friday, no pictures allowed and was not a demo and hit them day. Only thing not there was new Apex Pro irons.

Fairways - both bonded.  No Sub zero, the "standard" epic speed is suppose to be lower spin while Max is more draw bias

Hybrids - never a Callaway hybrid fan.  Standard no thanks, the new Apex Pro hybrid looks good

Drivers - yes three heads, Epic Speed Max, Epic Speed, Epic Speed Max LS.  Max is higher handicap, draw bias, Max LS is replacement for Subzero.  Longer front to back, different than previous years Subzero heads.  This is to add MOI and increase forgiveness while lower spin.  As I was told, head made for tour guys to get into the low spin head but still give forgiveness, movable back weight, neutral will be close to fade bias

Epic Speed head - standard, looks great, very much like Mavik head shape.  No moveable weight.

From what I was told, FWIW - better overall forgiveness in all driver models, new jailbreak helps stabilize head more, resulting in .5 to 1.2 ball speed gains.  Obvious with .5 being low end, pretty much its a mute point, I took it and he confirmed to me, the 1 mph gains are from someone that gains efficiency based on the extra forgiveness.

Personal opinion the standard head looks good, the Max LS will grow on you.  The bottom where all the color and design is for all those times we HAVE to look at it is fine.  I like the green more than Mavrik orange but thats me.  Will I upgrade, why not I have shop credit.  Will I see results, probably not worth it.

So would you say the Max LS is more like the shape of the OG epic sub zero? It was longer front to back, but had great MOI for what type of driver it was.

That would be great, so they are changing the life cycle of the Apex line ? I was thinking it would be an october 2021 release like the former 2 Apex ?

No, not as far as I am aware.

From what I recall the 19s were released Jan 25th, so I would expect late Jan early Feb for the 21s. I said Feb just to cover myself 😀

Agree with others that the '21 Apex Pro iron looks like being the best iteration of that iron yet. The Apex also looks really good, very much an evolution of what's come before it which will make lots of folks happy. I was all in on playing the X Forged CB/Apex MB combo set next year until I saw the Apex Pro today. It's that visually impressive, just strikes a great balance between having some tech while maintaining a more traditional appearance.

There are two versions of the Apex Hybrid. The more forgiving, adjustable one has a shape reminiscent of the Big Bertha '19 hybrid. Many didn't care for that shape (I affectionately nicknamed mine "Fred Flintstone's Big Toe") but it flat out did work. The Apex Pro hybrid has a fixed hosel and more of the boxy, Adams-ish shape that we've come to associate with Apex hybrids.

The White Hot OG line is reminiscent of the original, but the milling brings an elevated level of understated class to it.

Didn't see the fairway woods, sorry.

All three driver models looked really good, will be a tough choice as to which one to play. I suspect I may go Epic Max, but the Max LS and Speed both looked the part as well. Yes, the bottom is perhaps not as refined as it could be, but at address it's very nice.

Based on what I’m reading, yes. The thing that I was surprised by is it sounds like the LS head is not the typical deepest head, smaller profile. Based on what others have said, this head is more pulled back than usual.
