Tommy Armour CF4000 SS1 Irons

Recommended Posts

Hey guys

Im pretty new to GolfWRX but I’ve recently been collecting some older clubs when I can find them. I’m just curious if anyone has any info on a set I’m looking at at the moment.

They are a set of Tommy Armour CF4000 SS1 irons with Wilson staff woods. I can’t seem to find any info really on the irons or what they are worth. I’ve seen plenty of sets of ss2 around.

also picked up a set of Titleist tour model irons I believe are from 1985

any info is greatly appreciated!

thanks!

Sure thing.   Here they are as listed in the 1959 Macgregor catalog.

I have the similar but slightly later (1961) PT1 FC4000 irons - great clubs but trumped for cudos by SS1.

The Titleist Tour Model are nice but relatively plentiful blades from the '80s.

I would snap up all you have seen as long as the prices are not silly.

Yep 59 but you beat me to the punch and nailed it Note That Pro Pel 1 is stiffer than rebar more like 3/8 cold rolled round stock
