I have always been able to text or talk to Byron regarding every putter I have ordered.  He's not much to a long conversation, short and straight to the point, but communication has always been terrific.  I have always bought my putters directly from Byron.  When in doubt contact Byron directly.  He is rather busy but he will get back with you.

i really want a bombora secrets...maybe ill try again

Well, the other putter forum seems to be gone forever, so I thought I would post here in WRX to see if other Byron fans have moved over like me.  If so, please enjoy these recent Byron Morgan acquisit

Lots of sweet putters on this thread. Here’s something else to look at.

I got a few putters from Byron some years ago back when Puttertalk

was buzzing. Went through his reps on the site (and had a couple of

emails from him personally - w00t), and the process was straightforward,

the putters gorgeous.

I've been away from the game for a while, and see that Puttertalk is no

more (for the time being, perhaps?), so does that leave Byron's group on

facebook the main social media presence?

Yeah and he posts a lot of new putters on his IG account also.

Seeing all of these is making me jealous! Ordered an oil can carbon 620 back in February and still waiting for it. I must say that communication isn’t really what I had hoped for. I’ve reached out a few times over the past month and got the same response from both Byron and one of the sales guys.

Hang in there.  The three that I ordered that are just trickling in now were ordered before Christmas!!  Patience is the watchword with these single-craftsmen operations like Byron's, David Mills, etc.  Especially now that covid has created a mini golf boom.

Very true. This is why I’ve given up on customs for the time being. I have a few winners in the stable, so I’m not exactly geeked up to give someone a $600 payment for a putter I’ll receive in 6+ months that may or may not be as good as I hoped. I asked David Mills a while ago how long a custom would take and he never got back to me, so I figure he’s too busy to take my money. I have a feeling most of these boutique makers are too busy and also can’t meet timeframes. I’m just not interested in dropping $600+ for a stressful wait. I’ve done it before and it kind of sucks…especially since so many of these custom putters aren’t as good as expected IMO. Isn’t that why we all see them pop up for sale rather quickly thereafter?

I believe Byron Morgan, David Mills etc...  ship most of their production to the Japan, Korea, and China. Specifically, "bulk orders" of 50 to 100 putters at a time. My guess is that this is a better business than producing one off putters for USA consumers, so the bulk orders receive top priority status.

Now it's time to sell a few putters, so let me know if you need anything.  I will probably be moving a couple DH89s and maybe a 612 or two (all flow neck).  Those models don't seem to be working for me on the greens...

Here’s my last Byron delivery for a while.  A new 620 in brushed SS with mid-pipe.  3-line alignment as a new twist....

Not sure if I like the lines on this in white or in dark blue (see both below).  Let me know what ya’ll think.  Also, the 620 seems a bit “blockier” than the old 006s.  Byron says it’s the same program, but sure seems a bit more square to me (???).  Anyway.....

Can't comment on the difference with the 006 but as mentioned I really like this shape despite how boxy it is.

For the paint fill I might prefer white on this but for me I want the alignment to be a contrast from the putter itself to help align my putt.

I've wanted a solid copper dh89 for years now. Just never found one that I liked enough to pull the trigger on, usually because the ones I liked sold very quickly.

The only solid copper DH89’s are the 11 “20th Anniversary” dale heads released in 2009. There might be one possibility two others floating around in the wild, but likely any copper DH89 you see is actually copper plated carbon steel.

My 620 got here today. Carbon Oil Can. Head weight should be 370-375g, will weigh it when I reshaft it. Feels like the weight is correct though.

I really like how this one turned out. Definitely worth the wait.

Are you going to use the Scotty Masters cover on this one? 🙂

The Master’s cover goes with my Squareback. I’m actually shipping the Byron out today, even though it just got here, to @Peoples Golf to have a Fuji MC putter shaft put in it. I’m not sure which headcover is going to go on the Byron yet.

that was a part of my frustration. If they had told me “hey man, it’s going to  be 4-6 months” I would’ve been cool with it and still ordered mine.  I ordered mine in mid December and Steve told me I might get it by end of February. My only quip with the process was the quoted wait times. I love the putter, it’s amazing and will probably order another, just wish they would’ve been more realistic with the timelines.
