Would you pay $750 or more for a shaft? Autoflex

TXG has done 2 Youtube videos on the Autoflex.  The 2nd video was even better than the first.  So if you could pick up a legit 10-15 yards, swing harder, and maintain or even improve accuracy would you pay $750 for a shaft.  For me YES!!!!!!!  Heck I paid apprrox $350 for the Ventus Velocore and it was worth it for me.  More yards, swing harder, and not spray it.  It looks like Autoflex has that and more.  I for one am looking to see what happens with this shaft going forward.  IMO this shaft appears to be a game changer.

I rarely change equipment, but when I do I’ll go deep down the rabbit hole and shell out for what seems to be the best for me. So if I was to go in for testing and a $750 shaft was clearly offering the best results, I would be interesting and willing.

That said, for me to put something new to the market, radically different than what I’m used to, and unproven on tour into play, I’d want to demo the product on the course for several rounds before pulling the trigger.

But if after all that it was still providing good results... yes, I’d pay $750+ for a product that gave much improved results.

I remember the Matrix Ozik Tp7hd shaft, "$1,000 shaft when released". Mine was labeled as an XX at 281 cpm , but was one of the smoothest shafts ever. I played it until it shattered, certainly got my money's worth.

If it works best for ya , and you plan on keeping for a bit , consider it an investment. May save you from buying 3 drivers in a year 😁

TXG aren’t the best...

Golf is a game of a desire (or not) to always improve your game. This sounds like it negatively affects mechanics.

After seeing all the love for TXG on here I watched a few of their videos.  Thought there must be another TXG channel.  Those guys are insufferable.  And long winded.  And need to take a statistics or data analysis class.

Not really sure how this thread devolved so quickly into debating the merits of TXG and their youtube, but if the Autoflex is as good as they say (and the article right here on golfwrx said) then yea, I’d have to really consider shelling out for one.

Holy cow. I read up a little on it, and they have 12 installment payment plans ready and waiting.

It's hard to justify around a $350 shaft sometimes, and I've seen enough performance at that price point that I know my game isn't even worth the $350 ones. I'm out on this one.

How do I say sorry in Korean? sare`.

I just tend to be sensible about it. $750 is a lot of money. A lot of money. The old saying “You can’t buy a game” is still around because it’s true. Obviously people can do/buy whatever they want and I’m happy for them when they do. Circle Ts are my thing but not because I gain 5 strokes a side from them. For me, the answer if whether I would shell it out is no.

May I ask why?  Charlatans is not the way I would describe them, but I am open to your reasoning.

Posing as highly skilled players when neither Ian or Matt breaks 80, video's featuring shot numbers from jacked up machines, claiming customer "fit benefits" when they interrupt a fitting for 30 minutes to give the customer a swing technique lesson. Essentially they are selling a slick style rather than anything of substance, and I think that can be harmful to naive consumer customers.

$750 for a uniflex shaft?  No way.  Some years ago nVentix golf offered a uniflex shaft called the Nunchuk.  It's a good shaft and a heck of a lot cheaper that this one.

It's just a golf shaft, an incredibly flexible one at that. Don't buy into the "mystery materials" that this company is talking about. There's only so many material combinations out there to make a shaft from and it's not like other manufacturers just happen to not know of some unicorn material this Korean company is using.

Matt was literally swinging out of his shoes and in the end they altered the simulator to favorable conditions. He would get those numbers with nearly any head/shaft combination in that place if he always swung that hard at it.

Check out the Cobra F9 video they did a short while back. He basically got identical numbers with a completely different head/shaft combination.

Shaft for $750? Nah. Much better options for 3-4 Hundo. As for the TXG boys? The best in the biz, not spewing click bait and goofy BS in the UK

When I've clicked on some Yubetube golf vids, reviews, swing technique/instruction, etc.

I cannot tell you how many times when I turn the volume on, it's a UK accent. It happens on this side of the pond. Why not over there too? People gotta eat.

If a shaft was capable of giving me an instant 10-15 yards, I would absolutely pay $750 for it. I'm just quite positive that it isn't possible based on the driver fit that I know works for me.

Not sure where you got that from. Ian shoots in the high 60's low/ 70's according to the scores he has posted and plays off a +2.3 and Matt is a +0.6 also breaking 70 every once and a while. These are not tournament scores so nothing too special, but they both have no trouble breaking 80.

It was more that they click bait lol stuff like “THE NEXT TIGER CLUB???!!!!” And other stuff like that, their videos lack substance.
