It's got me intrigued because have a strong preference for plumber necks on my putters, and they're pretty rare on mallets aside from the 2 ball blade.

 

OTOH, never really cared for the feel of aluminum heads, so without a chance to actually roll one I'm likely to pass.

The head shape is nearly identical to the Odyssey Stroke Lab Ten. That's not available in a plumber's neck, though.

ordered one blind yesterday. PXG takes forever on things so not expecting it anytime soon. Hopefully I'll have it before a golf trip during the Masters in early November.

I really like the feel of the Gen 2 putter lineup, and have owned the operator, bat attack, spitfire, gunboat and closer. I'd be lying if I said this one won't be added to the list eventually haha.

Thinking pretty hard on it, really love the look. Been using the PXG Gunboat H since it came out and lovin it!!!!!

If i find one used i can try then i might. Love the stability of my L neck spider tour but the face insert is so soft, the stability is offset by how much stroke is needed to get the ball to the hole. I'm making more putts after going back to a milled anser simply because my stroke doesn't have to be so long and there's less hit in the stroke. 

 

So if this blackjack putter is super stable and has a hard insert that acts like a fully milled putter then I'll give it a go.

All of the Gen2 PXG putters are milled without inserts - the face has a milling pattern.  I have a Blackjack on the way with the heel hosel - plumbers necks look closed to me.

 

The Odyssey and Spider X putters have a lot going on in the back of the putter and that makes them look closed to me.  The Blackjack is more subtle in looks - hopefully the real deal works for me 🙂

Anyone see the Blackjack headcover they were using in Vegas. Pretty sick.

I like the look of this putter. Years ago Wilson made the Blackjack with a balata face. I guess the name can’t be patent or the patent ran out

Damn - that is awesome - I would like to have that cover.

 

My BlackJack is due here on Friday.  I just got a Lucky D delivered yesterday and it has a mid mallet cover with two magnets for the closure, but they included a poker chip with it to show that you could stick that chip to the magnets of the closure - pretty cool.

 

The headcover is supposed to be the Darkness one, but I would like them to have accidentally put that Vegas one in there instead 🙂

They're making a few of those headcovers available. Not sure of details though.

Name would be under trademark, any technology would be a patent.

Plus there are only so many putter shapes that you can do that are appealing. I've thought up a few designs/shapes when bored and 90% haven't made it past that, not like the other 10% would either.

Exactly.  The marketplace needs manufacturers to copy each other to become appealing to the more of the market.  I would like Sik to copy an Odyssey 7 design  My favourite design with better face tech.
