JPX 921 tour vs 620 CB

Recommended Posts

So I’ve hit both, and they are equally gorgeous and the feel is awesome. Playability seems like a wash, I didn’t have a problem with either. Torn on this one, anyone have any experience with either (know the JPX is new)?

Not exactly the same, but i came from jpx 900 tour into 620 cb. As you said they are both good. Topline and offset is less on the 620, as well as slightly smaller blade length, which i prefer. I also think the 620 feels a little better, the jpx line never felt as good to me as the mp line. Maybe thats changed since then. At the end of the day, its splitting hairs, if performance is same, go with what you prefer to look at more.

No 3 iron (which surprises me) in the jpx tour

I’m sorry to throw one more in but I’m curious to see how the new TaylorMade P7MC compares to these two, as well, if anyone’s hit all three or two of the three?

I’ve hit that one too, and it’s pretty nice. I thought it was third place in just about every category, but it’s so close. Very sweet iron.

sole of the CB May end up making it a winner for me.

I have the JPX 921 SEL.  4 and 5 are the Forged and the 6-GAP are Tours.  I am really like them a lot.  Just focusing on the Tour irons in the set, they are really solid feel.  Since you are looking the Tours and the 620CB irons I have to believe you are a pretty consistent ball striker.  I haven't hit the CBs.  I looks like a blade when you look down at the Tours.  They have a thin top line and minimal offset.  Solidly struck shots feel so pure.  The head will stay stable on slight mishits with minimal distance loss.  Thin hits, as is the case with any players cavity, will cost you distance.  These are up there in the top of the class for his type of club.  The finish is beautiful.

Yes, I’m a good enough ball striker to handle these. It’s a tough choice, the Tours are awesome but so are the CBs.  Playing pxg gen 3 tours and came from Blueprints.

According to Chris Vosshall Mizuno hasn’t made a single 3 iron for a tour pro in 4 years. That’s coming from Alex Etches in his JPX 921 Tour review. Surprising if true

Their 4 is 20* if my memory is correct
