Yea.  Who knows.  Don’t take my knee jerk experience as gospel.  It’s been a while since I had any 2015 v1x to compare it too. For what it’s worth. I love the left dash in the summer too.  But during the really cold rounds it’s just too much like hitting range rocks to stand.  Lol.

I play Left Dash. Haven’t picked up the new V1x to try yet, but play tomorrow. May grab a sleeve of both new Pro Vs and play each one for 9.

Did a virtual fitting with Titleist today.  I wanted them to tell me what they think as I’ve flirted back and forth over the years thinking I needed the ProV1 but after the MGS firm/soft thing went with an X for awhile.

they said ProV1 all day and maybe a left dash if I feel like stepping out.

Left dash is a very special ball. It is worth a whirl.

If you were a V1 player in 20, you're a V1 player in 21.  Same fo V1x.  The balls are targeting the same player.  If you were on the fence between the two, or your game changed, then experiment and find the one that is the best fit.  You can't make a mistake picking either of these golf balls.

To sum up the changes... alter the dimple pattern for wind stability, add a harder casing layer to keep ball speed up (e.g. left dash) while softening the cover to maintain similar spin profiles, which has the ancillary benefit of a slightly softer cover.  IMO, those are the new balls.

So I played my first round with the X ball, and it does not seem to spin as much as previous models? Did anyone else find this when they played it?

I only played one round plus another nine holes with the 2021 Pro V1x but after years and years of playing the older models I could tell absolutely no difference.

The 2021 Pro V1 seems pretty different from earlier Pro V1's but Pro V1x hasn't changed enough from 2019 Pro V1x that a double-digit handicapper like me would know the difference if you switched them without telling me.

P.S. I say that with full disclosure that, as a short-hitting high handicapper, it takes a pretty major difference for me to be able to notice. If you swing a lot harder than me and/or have a more spin-generating short game you might notice more subtle changes from year to year.

So.......how did you like the 2021 ProV1 compared to the older models? Since you noticed a difference with it.

I was very surprised. The older Pro V1 always had too much of a "boring trajectory" (as Titleist calls it) for me. I'd call it "low and flat with no hang time" which was fine if I was playing a links course in Scotland or something but under normal conditions I had trouble holding greens on mid-iron shots. And I think the low flight cost me some carry distance.

But this year's Pro V1 seems to fly higher. Maybe not Pro V1x high but higher than the old Pro V1's. And so far no trouble at all stopping 8-irons within 5-10 feet of where they land, that kind of thing.

I'm embarrassed to admit it because I always kind of poo-poo'd making decisions based on so-called "feel" but the I just fell in love instantly with the sound and feel of the new Pro V1. Since it seems to hold greens OK and react about like I want on shorter wedge shots and such, the nice sound and feel is just a big bonus.

Apparently Golf Galaxy is getting big boxes in today. 16 sleeves for the price of 12. The GM of my local store said all the manufacturers are doing it so far besides BStone. Not personalized but it makes it nice not to have to order the 3/4 through your club and wait 3-4 weeks for delivery.

So no custom numbering or personalization then ?

Straight stock order. 👍

I think TM and Cally are both doing this as well. Since I'm not 100% committed to the new V1 I'll be testing out both the CS and V1 for a while yet.

I finally got a sleeve of NEW ProV1's to play.  Not sure if I like them compared to prior version.  Prior version feels a bit softer at impact with all clubs including driver and 4wd.

They feel different with my irons too, only I haven't settled on my thoughts quite yet.  The soft forging of 620MB & CB heads makes it more challenging to decided.  This weekend's golf will tell me more.

I'm 90ish driver and 155 7i.....21x is softer putting but for me higher spin and full shots......less stable during my comparison.....

I'm sticking with 19X

played with the 21X today for the first time and my results were the same....softer feel but too spinny on full shots. and i feel shorter with the big stick as well... disappointed now i have to try the 21V
