Sun Mountain 2021 bag line up

Does anyone know when the 2021 bag are released?

My 2.5 is nearly worn out, not a big deal as in the winter I use a H2NO lite, but I would like to order another 'dry day' bag and the Eco seems like a good fit (not to big and a big more robust than the 2.5), but I hate the colours and I am hopeful next years models will be a bit less revolting.

Of the 2021 bags I've seen, the 2.5+ still seems like the best carry choice for my needs.  Especially with the pocket added above the ball pocket.

I have got an older 2.5 I like it, but it wears out fast. the new models look a bit more robust, but I like the eco-lite harness better.

shame about the colours.

3.5LS looks nicer, but SM stuff has generally gotten uglier the last few years imo.  I preferred the simpler looking Three 5 from back in the day.  Might need to take a closer look at the black/ocean 3.5LS, Carolina blue is always nice

I agree with you on the looks. I really don’t like the different colored valuables pocket. My only other concern with the 3.5LS is the long pocket getting stuck in the legs with the last few I’ve owned. Not a huge deal but for some reason it drove me crazy. For my needs, the 3.5 was a perfect bag but for that issue.

Bag looks to be redesigned, my guess is SM has read that criticism and fixed it in the new design.

Looking over the 3.5LS some more, definitely thinking about replacing the Hoofer Lite.  Only thing I don't like from the pics is SM is still going with that hideous square top grap handle.  Liked it a lot more when it blended in with the bag top, and that version was perfectly functional.

I heard 'next week' they get released.

Sounds good, thanks.  Will likely pick up a 3.5LS.  Have switched among the 2.5+, 3.5LS, and Hoofer Lite the last few years.  3.5LS was the best for my needs although like all of them there are compromises here and there.  The redesign looks a lot better based on the catalog pics at least.

I like the look of the VX made of sailcloth.  More after resistant and I like the colors.   Says 5lbs tho.  Want the 2.5+ I think but don’t really like the color options.

I’m interested in the 2021 C130s. Looks like it now has full length pockets on both sides and removable straps.  Has anyone seen it in person yet? Disappointed in the colorway options.

I recently got a MGI electric cart and my SM 4.5 is not a good fit so I ordered a C130s a month ago. Twice they sent a regular C130 to the pro shop. The rep told the pro the bag is in the mail. I got the Red/white/ blue and think it’s a good looking bag.

Not yet. Looks like the 2.5 is unchanged, so I might be better off grabbing a 2020.

2.5 has a rather significant change with the added pocket above the ball pocket

Can the pocket above the ball pocket hold a larger range finder? I have used an older ping 4 series bag for at least 5 years now and it has a water bottle pocket above the larger ball pocket and smaller tee pocket. I store my range finder in there and it works nicely. I’ve never had the ranger finder fall out and I can access it without zipping or unzipping a pocket. I’m looking for a new bag and hoping to find a similarly convenient feature in one of the lightweight bags (sun mountain 2.5+, titleist 4 carbon, etc.).

No one knows for sure yet as the bag isn’t out just yet.  We should soon know, however.

I really want to see the new SM VX in person.   It’s 5lbs which I do not like, but like the idea of sailcloth and the other bags features.  If that bag is a no go, I will go with the new 2.5+

That is not a hug deal for me, but I like the added water bottle holder. It now looks like the Eco-lite of years past, but 2lbs lighter.

water bottle holder on the 2.5 looks the same to me as the last several 2.5 iterations

I guess I am pretty out of date. 😀 I still have the one that just had two pockets and open top pocket/water bottle pouch

Oh yeah, then you'll love the added water bottle sleeve, huge difference when walking!

This one looks nice. They've taken a Stitch / Vessel approach.

Agreed on the similarity to Stitch.  Personally I find the Metro to be hideous and feel the same about the Stitch bags, but different strokes for different folks.

I am minimalist, so I never found it a big deal. I keep my water bottle the large pocket, and when I take it out I just carry it in my hand until it is finished.
