Sun Mountain 2021 bag line up

Recommended Posts

Just got word that SM is building a no logo for me to replace the mistake one that was sent. Should have by the end of the month. I'll share some pics if/when it arrives. For now this one stays in the box it came it. Luckily, I'm not getting to worked about not using it since the season is near over.

I'll also add that the apparel pocket definitely does NOT catch in the legs like it did on previous 3.5LS models.  I had an original 3.5LS and a 2019 iirc, and both had that problem.

i really do think SM has figured out how to do the top/opening better than everyone else, as far as size and club tangle(lack there of).  i wish more would copy them.

@brew4eagle Just saw your post about the no logo 2.5. Does that mean you're not going to keep the 3.5?

The no logo looks great. Can't wait for my 3.5 no log to show up. Assuming they got it right this time, it should be here on Weds.

Going with the 2.5 for sure.  3.5LS is a great bag, it just is too big with too many pockets for me.  I carry 11 or 12 clubs, a few tees, a few balls, a water bottle, chapstick, and a snack or two.  I don't have a need for all the pockets and empty pockets bug me for some reason.  2.5 single strap is perfection for my needs.

Edit- the 2.5 was also about 1/3 the price, but even at the same price I'd go with the 2.5.

So I got my replacement 3.5. The no logo black showed up with one added benefit that I was not expecting. The front panel is removable where as on the logo version it is fixed. On this one it is affixed to the bag by a large strip of super strength velcro along the bottom and two strips on the inside. The bottom of the pocket curves up so the velcro is not the actual bottom of the pocket.

Looks good.  Pocket on my no logo 2.5+ detaches the same way.

Anyone have upclose pics of the Metro? Wondering what the vinyl looks like actually. Also - any insight on the pockets on the Metro? Website says 7 but I only count 5 -- 3 on the full length apparel side, ball pocket in the middle, accessory pocket on the small other side. What am I missing?

Not sure about the Metro, but the 3.5LS has a small elastic-type pocket internal to the main ball pocket that is counted as one of the pockets.  So it's possible the Metro has an internal pocket(s) for organizational purposes.

Thanks -- that's kind of what I figured.

I'm finally retiring my old SM KG:2 after many years and hundreds of rounds.  I'm looking for the 4.5 LS but no dealers seems to have any in stock.  Even SM website says not in stock.  Did I miss the boat??

My SM 2.5+ (2021 model) arrived a few days ago.

Unfortunately, due to lockdown in England, it will be another 5/6 weeks before I can test it on a course.

It's very light, fully blocked in, lots of pockets and space, lots of room for clubs. The strap system looks unusual, but is really comfortable once the bag has the clubs in it. The legs are strong also.

So far, it's looking like the bag that fulfils all my needs. I went for the navy blue colour and it looks great too.

Hi all, I’m down to the 2.5 and a zero G.  But I was also wondering  if any bags have a “holder” for the stand legs for when I use a push cart.  I’ve really been walking / pushing around 50/50 and want a good lightweight bag for this purpose.  I did see an older thread with a 2.5 on a push cart that looked to be working fine.  I just don’t want to spend 200+ and need a different bag for my push cart.

Brew, what does bst mean.  By the way thanks for all your posts.  I read all of them to help me.  I probably can't go wrong buying the 2.5.  do you think you can attach a zero G belt to a 2.5 if you want that added feature.

Bst = the classified forums on this site.  A belt wouldn't work on 2.5, but it's a real light carry.

Has anyone had a chance to try the Sun Mountain VX bag yet? I like how it looks and also seems high quality from the pictures online.  Haven't seen anyone on here post about it yet

It looks like a nice bag, but I think it's heavier than some of the other models.

Has anyone purchased a No Logo 2.5+ 14-Way? Considering the White/Black/Red color but am wondering if it would look too plain without the logo.

Also, has anyone tried the 2.5+ 14-way with the EZ-Fit straps instead of X-Straps? If so, how do they compare.
