What I’ll be looking to hear about is the fade bias. I hit the SIM Max last season and pulled ref trigger on the SIM to get a bit more fade bias.  The SIM was backordered which allowed me to cancel until I hear the reviews. Worse case scenario I buy the SIM at a discount

Didn't like the original sim at all.  This sim 2 max looks right up my alley.  Currently game a mavrik max which is the best driver I've ever hit but with weight in back it launches too high and with weight in heel I get myself in quite a bit of trouble and it draws huge if I don't put a good swing on it.  But with mav max if I take what feels like a nice easy swing it's a faiway machine that's just as long as anything else out there.

I like that the sim 2 max keeps some weight upfront and closer to heel but not all the way in the heel.  This is exactly what I've been looking for and can't wait to give it a try.  Plus I don't think the sim is hideous.  The blue should go nicely with the tour ad hd shaft I got coming to me now.  The most important thing is how it will look at address for me.  The rad is the only driver I find to be hideous, but if my numbers are best with the rad I'd buy it without hesitation.

The sim 2 and new apex irons got me pretty excited for upcoming releases.

There is one problem with waiting for that discount is TM is completely sold out of SIM driver heads and will not be restocked.  You will probably have to buy second hand versa NEW.

True. And why anyone waits for a 'manufacturer' discount versus buying second hand is beyond me. You can get a second hand Sim that looks brand new right now for less than a discounted 'new' one in a couple months.

But I am the type who rips the club apart and changes weight, shaft, grip, etc. So 'new' from the factory means the same thing to me; that I have to fix someone else's mistakes, haha.

Seems to be a no brainer. Make a beautiful lineup of high end irons. ✔️

Make flagship driver that accompanies those irons in look and performance? No ✔️

That’s a mess up.

Ok so it doesnt perform? Have you hit? As far as the look, like everyone has said, the blue can be customized out. You can literally design your own colorway, so far from what i have seen, TM will own repeat as 2021 driver king.

Except Callaway won that title in 2019 and 2020... as a reformed TM addict I hate to say it.

Can you shed light on why mwt went away? Is it because the front and back weights are offset from the center line enough that you assume gear heads will use heavier weights either front or back to adjust fade/draw CoG?

TaylorMade is probably going to say that most people adjust it only once when fit and the SIM2 weight system can accomplish that.  However, the MWT is a huge marketing advantage for them and I imagine the real reason it is gone is the difficulty incorporating it into the carbon sole - we shall see in SIM 3.

Well they are just saying it like it is. So many people on here say they won’t even consider it based on a few leaked photos. Than slowly they start coming around. By March they will love the design and it will be the best driver they have ever had! 🤣

You’re absolutely right. They’ll say they’re playing from parts of the course they’ve never seen before with the new driver 😂😂. I guess I can’t disagree with the comment , it was just a little weird to me

Does the sales include the b21? I have no clue with sales. But as far as performance reviews, thats an opinion, and if you just look at golfwrx, the sim has multiple threads of people raving about it and are still thriving...dont see any mavrik threads. Ian from TXG has given the SIM the nod too. Oh yea i also think when wrx had fitters give their driver of the year it was pretty consensus the SIM was best for faster and better players. So i guess its partial, but at the very top end, the high performance race car, its SIM.

I tinkered with the Sim all last year. I had 2, the Max to start with and the regular Sim afterwards. It could never unseat the G410 LST. For me the Sim was always intriguing because it had the best launch/spin combo for my swing I have seen in a driver BUT it was not close from a forgiveness and mishit perspective. It was the old GolfWRX conundrum of longest on best strikes but the G410 was better 8/10 other strikes. I already have the G425 LST in the bag now. I am hoping TM can get the 2.0 more towards the Ping in the areas of concern above and keep the positives from the original. Ping has taken the 425 more towards the Sim in the spin/launch area and have definitely kept the forgiveness so @TaylorMade Golf has their work cut out for them but I hope they're up to it.

I respectfully suggest that you misread the messages. The black and white photos look great. It's the crystal clear color photos that make the driver head look silly, in poor taste, and distracting. Who really wants to look down at address and see three or more colors on their driver? I don't.

The new SIM 2.0 looks great!  Simplified the weight setup, eliminated the screwed face, nice color scheme/custom...performance will be excellent along with that TM driver feel/sound.

Personally I’m having a tough time wrapping my head around spending $800 for a new club that I’ll need to get painted. Not sure why they couldn’t just design a club that would be more aesthetically pleasing to more people rather than replicate the Las Vegas strip on their club head...

Where is the information about getting custom colours? Can’t find it. The neon blue/neon yellow paint is the main thing that would hold me back from getting the SIM 2 (other than performance & cost), but obviously if performance & look is there than can work around cost.

Wasnt that the point he was making with the cost being 800 bucks doing so....

My point was that I would never spend $800 on a club that I had to then spend extra money on to paint. If I’m buying a new Mercedes I’ve got to be in love with it, not have to turn around and take it to a custom paint shop!

Fair enough. Well, if I were TaylorMade I would put that information out there clearly since I see a ton of people buzzing and buying the TSi2 and TSi3...looks like they’re losing market share and opportunity with the only SIM 2 pictures out there being a neon monstrosity...

Oh i promise you in february it will be a different tune around here lol. I had another session with the tsi3, and while i found the ball speeds were on par, maybe even slightly better than my sim, looks great and feels great, its shorter than my SIM cause it spins about 500-600 revs more. Its just not a good fit for me. Curious to see if the SIM two will have any improvements without ruining what SIM was so good at
