Hello all.

If at all possible, I was wondering if any of the  "knowledgeable ones" could answer a question about the weights in the SIM2? For the ability to adjust SW in my current SIM I was able to change the sliding weight with an aftermarket M5 weight to get the SW to where I wanted. And with my SIM fairway, was able to change the small weight as the pitch/thread was compatible to what's out there in the aftermarket. Noticing that the SIM2 (driver & FW) has a SIMilar looking weight in the head (sorry).

Wanted to know if it is the same type of weight (length,pitch/thread) of what is in the SIM Fairway? I don't have access to a tour van and I enjoy building my own clubs and have my own SW scale. My only option has been the aftermarket as I like a heavier feeling driver - D6/7 and fairway - D5/6.

Not sure if it's been discussed and I know for a fact that I'm going to bag them.... the HO in me is strong and has no boundaries =( Just trying to prep for the tinkering that is to come.

Thank you in advance for any info you can provide and happy new year!

I can not say 100%, but so far I believe every one of these types of weights has been the same size and pitch/thread going back many years. I have put Jetspeed weights in GAPRs, GAPR weights in SIM fairways, SIM fairway weights in M2 drivers, M4 weights in GAPRs etc etc. The only variables to consider are length of the weight itself (I imagine the longer, heavier weights may run into some depth problems in shallower heads) and the occasional thread gapping issue. I remember someone posting on here that an aftermarket one of these weights did not fit correctly in his SIM fairway due to having to big a gap between the head of the weight and the start of the thread, although I have never experienced this myself.

Me as well!  I've hit the SIM2 and knew that it was very likely that I would be trading in my SIM for it...don't need to.  Just really want to.  😂

Did you see any performance gains over the sim?

It was hard for me to say.  I just happened to be in Golf Galaxy one afternoon to buy a couple of grips, and the rep happened to be there with the new product.  I just really liked the way it felt and sounded.  I took 3-5 swings with the SIM2 9* head and the stock stiff shaft.  I didn't have my SIM with me, so I couldn't compare it directly or try it out with my current shaft.

Spin numbers were perfect with good carry numbers, but launch was a bit too low.  I figured it would be because I play the 10.5* SIM right now, so I would get the 10.5* in the SIM2.  I would also consider the SIM2 Max 9* as well because I do like the SIM Max and how it performed, but preferred the adjustability of the SIM.  Now that the sliding weight is gone, I would probably be very happy with either driver.

I can't remember off the top of my head.  I think it was a 65g Mitsubishi of some sort?  Maybe a blue AV?  I didn't get any pictures.  Shaft felt fine, but it was just a little light for what I'm used to

Can't be, can he? Surely someone will know. I'll be impressed if he is/was. Love a 7 wood. Thanks for the info.

Do we know stock shaft offerings for Hybrids yet?  Super interested in the new adjustable one.  Most likely will try the AD-DI first as that shaft is sooooo money, but interested in what other options or premium offerings there are.

The playing length will be the exact same, both insertion depths (adapter) are 1.25”

The only challenge will be the length of the ferrule on the Titleist is longer so you’ll have to clean up any epoxy, if it is up there.

Apologies if this is in another thread already. The Black or the White is surely going to be a winner.

Had a chance to hit the Sim2 stuff last week. Loved the deeper face of the driver head vs Sim1. Driver spin was a little higher than the Sim1 in the the same degree head (9*) with the same shaft (My gamer), probably because so much of the weight has moved to the rear of the head. loved the look, feel and SOUND of SIM2. SIM2 was an overall improvement FOR ME over SIM, though not really numbers wise, just much preferred the look, feel and sound (redundant i know). Also never truly loved the SIM last season (preferred the M5 frankly). I was really digging on the SIM Rescue as well with the Nippon GOST shaft. SIM Ti woods seemed to be smaller and more appealing (for me) vs Sim1. pretty excited to get some of this stuff in the bag and start dialing it in soon.
