Interested to hear your take on it as it sounds like you played the Sim 1 previously? I put this thing in play earlier this week for a quick 9 and actually liked it. I haven't gamed a TM driver for at least 6-7 years and have been predominately Callaway. I didn't care for the Sim 1 based on sound and feel off the face. However, the Sim 2 just sounded/felt better to me. Also, when hitting it I felt my ball seemed to just keep rising and going with such a great trajectory. Hard to explain, but I may actually be gaming a TM driver this year (once I get a comparable shaft in the head to really give it a head to head comparison).

I am definitely not looking to change out the driver at this point. The 3 wood though may be in trouble! I like your logic for equipment upgrades. I really need to stop changing my stuff out so dang much!

That’s a key point. Get fitted then if you must upgrade every year just find a head only for the new model for sale here in WRX or EBay or wherever and save yourself some money. That’s what I did with the Mavrik. I got fitted for the EF SZ and found a head only Mavrik SZ and swapped it out. After selling the head for the EF SZ I was only out $150.

I think I’ve found the holy grail shaft! I’m having some amazing results with the 2019 Aldila tour green with graphene. Long straight low spin bombs! And the shaft feels smooth! I need to find a backup for it though. They are hard to find for sure.

Good luck. I play the Syngery green proto which I think is the proto of your shaft and I've been looking for a 65 TX to mess around with and haven't had any luck. I keep hoping to find something newer and better but this things combination of feel and performance are hard to beat.

Face Depth alone will make better for me.

Plus with my discount & by time I sell the stock shaft & sell my hotmelted sim on EBay I won't lose a dollar

The demo cart at my club was switched over to the 2.0 product. I took out a 2.0 with a HZRDUS Smoke RDX black. On paper this shaft should be a slam dunk for me. It wasn’t so great. I couldn’t square it up, missed both directions. Just another lesson why fitting is so important. The 2.0 head has some potential though.

That said, its hard to argue with how good you can make this thing look. Looks like TM doing the discounted Ventus same as Ping. Interesting why that seems to be the case these days.
