Went ahead and put in my order for SIM2 Driver 3 and 5 woods and traded in lots of clubs collecting dust in the process. Seems like it may be March before I get anything.

Do they offer the TX flex in the Project X HZRDUS Smoke Blue?

Only aftermarket. Not through TM. Feel on this shaft is pretty amazing. I liked the Evenflow black but it get loose at times. This is smooth and I can feel it load but snaps at impact like a ventus blue

Anyone gotten tracking information from TM that hasn’t moved from San Diego? “Picked up” Thursday with supposed delivery today but no dice or update from FedEx. On the east coast so didn’t know how the weather in the middle part of the country may be affecting things.

Better late then never due to that historic front that came through Texas! I Fortunate enough to get out yesterday for a round of golf and the new setup performed flawlessly. Changing of the guard from my old M5 10.5 w Accra TZ6-cb; this MySim2 9 degree was the ideal loft to get my spin even lower to the ideal number I needed. The visuals I am afforded due to the custom options via the MySim2 build gave me a ton of confidence when squaring up to the ball. The sound is a touch lower but sharper compared to the M5 for the betterment in my opinion. Nice piercing ball flight with a great response off the face!

Nope. They also don’t offer the TX in the MRC Diamana ZF in spite of it being the only extra stiff option available in the US.  Instead you get the X version all the way from Japan. Bizarre.

so far I’ve seen one OEM  offer a TX which was the pro white hybrid.

Supposedly dispersion kept it from being higher ranked. But that (as with all the testers) could be due to shaft. I'd rather have the higher ball speed and tighten up dispersion through the right shaft.

Interesting the Callaway was tops because I haven't read too many good things regarding this year's lineup.

Same here. Ball speed is king. It's my job to hit it straight, so I just want it to be fast. I had a quick fitting for SIM2 last month, but I need to pull the trigger soon.

Hopefully they do as last year, and split this data out by swing speeds. Results varied great across the different categories last year, and what was good for the goose wasn't always good for the gander.

I put the SIM 8* up against the new SIM2 8* today when I got back home.  Both in my HZRDUS Smoke Blue RDX.  At first the SIM2 was all over the place.  Probably due to me trying to kill it.  Even in that though, the ball speeds were consistently higher than the SIM.  Launch was lower with the SIM2 so even with higher ball speeds and similar spin #’s, the carry was a fraction less than the SIM.  On a whim I hit the HZRDUS Black that came with the SIM2, but knowing it was lower launch and spin put it on the higher setting.... instantly higher launch and the surprising thing was not much more spin..  I put it back in the Blue at the same setting and it was slight cuts and Deep...  I’m giving it a rest until tomorrow but on a small test it looks like it might, might be a winner.  I’m hesitant to switch immediately with a trip Sunday to Florida with a couple rounds on tap, but it is impressive ball speed for sure.  On average SIM was 165 and SIM2 was 167.5.  It wasn’t my best swing day as I have reached 170 with the SIM with this same combo.

I forgot to add..  I hit a few high on the face with the SIM2... below 1000 spin on both..  just went nowhere

Solid info, thanks for reporting on your findings. Haven’t gotten a chance to test head to head and was curious how they compared.

I've hit both the Sim2 and the Speed line. The Speed Max LS "winning" isn't a surprise to me in the slightest. The club is incredibly stable and forgiving and overall is a huge improvement over the Mavrik SZ which I thought was the best driver Callaway has ever built. My biggest issue was with the sound which is really high pitched metallic ting. Will be interesting to see how the Speed LS with Ventus Black 7X compares to the Sim2 Max with Ventus Black 6x.... whenever mine comes in

TM has been upping their game with SIM and now SIM 2.  Not sure why Callaway went back to a sliding weight this year with most of the other OEMs doing fixed but interchangeable weights.  I also think Twist Face has evolved a bit because when it first came out I hated it.  I could see the curve at address but the SIM2 twist face I can't notice it at all.

We’re talking about 1.21 mph difference in ball speed between the Epic Max LS, Epic Max, Epic Speed, SIM2 and SIM2 Max. It’s not nothing but what it translates to on the course is what matters most.

Yep, and we will all have different experiences with different drivers. That sites list should not be a end all be all for anyone.

Ordered from GG on 1/22 and finally decided to check with TM today. Freaking grip is holding it up and is backordered until 3/26. I left the grip stock Z Grip because I figured there is no way they run out of those. Well they did and GG can't alter an order. They can cancel and order again but that puts me in the back of the line. Oh well, maybe this is fate telling me I should just stick with my Ping.

That’s rough. You would think the stock offering is the most abundant.

I talked to TM today and the same grip issue. They can't alter the order, they said it has to come from GG.

I'm going to try GG again tomorrow and really push.
