Ppl have to expect delays. This happens every time. The amount of clubs going out, some of the complex orders being made.

if you want it faster wait till it hits the store shelves and go buy one and hit it an hour later on the course

Yeah I get that. I figured the delay was baked in when I was told it’d take a month. Two additional weeks won’t kill me, but I’m terribly impatient, lol.

Getting really irritated with this launch. Ordered 1/19 (launch day), was told on 1/29 I couldn’t cancel my order because it was “being built”. Here I am, with all these people ordering after me getting their clubs, with my order still saying, preparing for shipment. (Which it has said from day one).

Anyone got rounds on theirs yet or is this thread still about order fulfillment?

I’ve played 2 rounds with my set up, SIM 2 8* with HZRDUS Blue RDX.  First round was 9/9 in fairways hit, great control and deep.  Second round was off, but that was me dealing with all kinds of things that day.  Still performs great, and more forgiving on off days.  I hit my highest ever ball speed with it this past weekend at 174 and the smash factor on my gcquad is definitely better with the SIM2.

Is anyone having issues with the SIM2 holding up?  I hit one high toe and heard a weird noice and looked down and the epoxy separated a little.  The company gave me a new one, but I wanted to see if anyone else had issues.  That’s a lot of carbon and glue on that head...

No issues yet, mine came with a bunch of epoxy in the topline I had to clean off when it arrived.  My bottom carbon plate does have a decent scuff on it from a tee already, made me wonder how well it will hold up

Also ordered on 2/20. Two of my clubs just moved to “We are compiling custom components for your product.” The other is stuck in “your custom order is in queue.”

Of course, I have no idea what the difference between those two statuses is.

Had a chance to hop in the simulator during lunch today to grab some quick numbers, albeit only had 30 minutes so the sample size is small.  Early reaction is the Sim2 is going in the bag.  I started last year with an M5 9* playing at 7* with a tensei pro white 60tx in the bag, and switched it out for a TS4 8.5* playing at 7.75* with the same shaft in it.  Both drivers played at 45.5.  Recently ordered a Sim2 at 8* with a Ventus Black 6X.  This isn't an apples to apples comparison so it could be the head or the shaft or a combination of both, but the Sim2 has better numbers across the board.  I have an O-I driver swing so spin and height has always been a bit of an issue, but I play my swing and drive the ball pretty well.  Definitely not swinging my best after a long winter layoff but I see some real promise but will need more time with the ventus to get it's timing down as it does have a different feel from the tensei. Sim was it at 8* standard setting so could still tweak the adapter sleeve a little as well.  Sound and feel were really nice as well.  Sim2.jpg.9e45e4be0d49cf169012799afcf1bda2.jpg

Same. My long lead time material was the Smoke Blue shaft. Not a huge deal for me as I still am happily playing the M6 driver. I just want those new wedges I ordered.

My best guess is that they started to work on your one club and got stuck when certain items were not yet available. The other is still in line to get to the start of the build stage.

FWIW, I ordered a 2 driver, 3W, and 5W on 02/06 and I'm still waiting. I ordered from a golf shop and don't have any info outside of the quoted 3-4 weeks with Friday being week 4. The only silver lining is that there's still snow on the ground here in NY.

Went out to TM fitting day at my home course.

Ended up getting SIM2 MAX D with upcharge Ventus Black and saying it would not be ready till mid-end of March because they have to wait on the shaft.

Hope it gets here on time.

LOL you’ll be fine at 1” on S flex. Not sure why people are so scared of tipping....

go take a gander at Pings staff website, even the LPGA staff tip their shafts and 99% of their male pros start at 0.5”

1" on a Ventus is a pretty big deal. It's extremely tip stiff.

Anyone pick up the max? I was fitted into the 2 and 2 max but leaning toward the max and haven't heard much about the max.

Rick Shiels did a review on YouTube and got almost identical numbers with both drivers, couldn't see how/why one is geared more towards one player than another.

Is that the ‘velocore’ model for no up-charge?! If so, awesome deal!

My son ordered a 2 MAX w/RDX Black the first few days pre-orders were accepted and received it ~2.5 weeks ago.

To be fair . Shiels doesnt really dive into the dispersion very much . I got fit for both .. the 2 Max I was spinning more , and lost about 6 yards in total distance . I missed left much more with the Max , and on the off center strikes my spin would get up around 3000 versus 2600 to 2800 with the SIm 2 .  I wouldnt put much stock in any of these "comparisons " on YouTube.  Yeah ... center strike versus center strike , with optimized swings , of course they're going to be close to identical . We dont know if he's tossing out really bad misses etc .

Ordered via GG and received the other day! Quick question for anyone else who received their SIM2. Has anyone else noticed a rattle in the driver head by chance? It's not a massive rattle, but definitely noticeable. Not sure if it's the side screw/high-low screw or the weight screw, but it's there.

Not sure if I have the correct tool to tighten them so don't really want to play with them. Anyone else?

When I went to get fitted, I was swinging so bad after a winter off that my data was pretty meaningless.  Went back another time to just “demo” a couple off the rack and still couldn’t work out much difference. Just my two cents!
