Whom would you want to get in 18 with in a completely private round?

Recommended Posts

Seve - sheer genius

Bruce Lietzke - pure effortless swing

Johnny Miller - '73 version - pure precision (I know he's not dead, but he's gone away)

Would just watch them hit shots and maybe learn something.

Ok, first and foremost,   Angel Cabrera! Guy plays fast, seems like a blast, and steaks and vino be flowing after the round.   Who else?   Boo Weekley! I might even pack

Who else?

Boo Weekley! I might even pack a dip. I sleep over at Boos place after steaks then go fishing with him the next morning with a hangover. Get some bacon egg sandwiches and a case of beer and go catch some bass.

Then, maybe Tiger, me and Boo and Angel can all mess with TW. Like steal the Scotty when he’s not looking and pretend we don’t know where it is. He get so mad 😂

Thats a good foursome, I think.

I mean....seriously....if I thought about it for a few days I might be able to come up with a better scenario, but it would be tough.  I’m guessing Freddie could find some hot chicks, or Jack could drop some serious wisdom, but that sounds fun.

I'm surprised there's been no mention of Beef, such as my aging memory and vision noticed.

Beef strikes me as a great choice for the theme of the thread.

Sören Kjeldsen, Chris Tschetter and Bryson seems like guys that would not make me totally awkward. Think we could mix into a pleasant fourball. Eclectic with handicap. On my home course and my Caeur de filet Provencale cooked by me and missus afterwards served in our garden. I culd maybe trade Bryson for Laura Davies but I don’t really know if Chris and Laura mix. Maybe some younger female player who truly radiates pleasant personality . They all seem so super focused now. But of course someone is . Any suggestions?  Shibuno maybe, but language would be a problem.

Another constellation could be Bryson, Tiger and Faldo. Too macho a constellation for me really, but if we could turn it to a swing nerd talk bonanza that could be fun.

i guess a quiet couple of drinks with Paddy, Rory and Lowry followed by maybe 6 holes of Grosspott golf could be pretty hilarious. I do get queerly well along with Irish guys for some reason.

i wish I could throw in Beef, surprised noone have him in his list yet, but I’m too boring for him.

Nobody's mentioned Byron Nelson yet?

I took guys who are still living, Tom Watson and Rory.

But if we're going there, Bobby Jones, Harry Vardon and Byron Nelson.

Or just Jack Nicklaus and Byron, because Byron had a huge influence on Jack through Jack Grout.

Make it a friendly foursome: Byron, Jack and Tom Watson.  All fairly upright swingers.

Unseen, in the background, Fate was quietly slipping the lead into the boxing-glove.  P.G. Wodehouse
