Sim 5w lofted down?

Who is playing the 5w lofted down to 17*?
 

how do you like it?

 

thinking this will be my next purchase. Throw my synergy green proto 80tx in it cut to 42.25” and it should be a cannon.

Absoute rocket!

high launch with little spin off the tee, but find it much easier to elevate and spin off the deck compared to the 15*. I play it at 42.5" so its basically a 4 wood. Open face is also great if you tend to hook your fairway woods (like me).

I did this exact thing. After playing the season with it, I’m very happy with that decision. I give up no yardage whatsoever.

The 3w head is way to big. The smaller 5w head with an open face shoulda very appealing

I play the sim ti 5w lofted down to 17* with an even flow blue 85x. This thing is long. I originally demoed the 3 wood but it was way to close distance wise to my driver. The 5w goes the same distance as my old 3w but with a shorter shaft which has given me a bit more control and confidence.

Quickly becoming my favorite club to hit.  Has taken my left concern away from a fairway wood.  Playing it at 17, but still hit it high enough to hold greens when needed.

Any of you guys also carry a "normal" 5 wd? I was thinking of going w/ my M2 5w (18*), and the Ti SIM turned down to 17* as a 3 wood replacement. I like the length and added loft. I don't really use my 3w since my 5w is so easy to hit and consistent, hence the SIM 5w idea.

Looking for two clubs to sit between my driver and 4 iron. 

 

A stronger 5W and a 3H looks likely.

I have a tour SIM Ti on the way from Will Peoples. Measured loft is at 18.2 and .7 open, I’ll play it at one click towards lower. Effectively it’ll be around 17.5 and 2 open. Replacing a 3 and 5 wood with it so playing length will be 43”.

 

Top end of the bag will be driver, this then a HMB 3 iron
