Kind of. Back in 2011, I was fit for a 910D3 8.5* @ 7.75* Ahina 72X. After the 915D3 came out, I picked up a used 8.5* head and reused the shaft to save money. I initially played it at 7.75* but lofted up to 8.5* since the head spun less, and this setup was validated on Trackman during a Titleist Fitting Day in 2016. A year and a half later, I replaced the Ahina with the Synergy, mostly because I wanted something new, but the pairing hasn’t been validated by a fitter.

I have used this club for the past three years, having gone down in weight and flex (formerly Speeder 7.2 in M2) and have found it to be easy to hit, but it can be difficult to control directionally, as well as trajectory-wise. I hit fairways with some frequency, but feel recently as I'm guiding or steering it more than I'd like. And I think I've lost some significant distance (10 yds?) over the last two seasons. Wind, and my standard heel miss, seem to take a lot of distance off it. So I'd like something that flights the ball a little flatter and a little straighter with reduced spin and increased ballspeed (?).

 

It feels good to unburden myself and share a bit. Like I've been playing fine but in my standard game, their drives are starting to get too close to my own, and in some cases farther than my own. I've been living on the right side of the fairway with a weak, spinny cut. No bueno.

Yes, at a local store indoors. This was my mistake. Indoor fittings are horrible. 

 

6. What TSi head do you want to test?

My last Titleist driver was the 910D3, so I assume the 3 would work best for me. Editors - for no additional fee I'm happy to bring my old 910D3 to compare against the new models. That might be fun for some readers. Are you reading this? Is anyone reading this? Anyway, pick me. I want new driver.
