Spikeless shoe question.

Tour 360 SL has great grip.  That diamond/X pattern really gets good grip.

Also find Trues grip patter really good.

My feet slide on occasion.  It's my swing/follow through though not the grip.  Rarely slip maybe 1 time every few rounds.  Not related to wet/dry either.  Usually it's more hard dry ground than wet.  Although admittedly it doesn't rain much in N texas.  Two months of deluge, then not a drop rest of the year.

I’ve always worn soft spikes, never tried spikeless. I’m thinking of getting the adidas tour 360 spikeless. Any of you folks experience traction problems with spikeless?

Be careful with spike-less!!! I cannot tell you how many shoes I have worn in semi-wet condition or even humid conditions and (as a righty) have totally lost my load foot (right foot) and had to bail out of a swing. If you are going to go with the "Spike-less" I would recommend the G Fore Cap Toe Gallivanter. Those have some the best "spike-less" spikes out there. If you swing slower, the spike-less effect may not be so severe. However, in dry conditions a spike-less shoe can perform OK! Hope this helps.

I've kinda given up on spikeless shoes for traction unless a course is baked out or pristine and that rarely happens where I'm at. I've tried the Adidas Crossknit 3.0 which are super comfortable and the Pro SL's which I'm kinda disappointed with honestly, just not what I like in a shoe.

I wear both.  Every now and then, if it's wet, my trail foot will slip a little with spikeless.  Hit one of my best drives with a slipped foot last week.  LOL.  Spikeless are slightly more comfortable and easier to walk in.  Spikeless designs get better every year.

I second every sentence of this post down to the occasional back foot slip with a good drive.

Full disclosure, I have huge feet and am a big guy (6’3, 290).  I walk 80% of my rounds and have worn the latest New Balance spiked golf shoes.  They are just ok And my feet would be achy after a round.  About a month ago I switched to regular sneakers, I she t had any slippage issues and my feet feel much better.

I've used spikeless since Freddie sauntered down the fairway in Ecco's at Riviera oh so long ago. I've tried every major brand and the people who speak highly of the Adidas 360 are correct, it's a very comfortable shoe. However I ordered a pair of Cuater Moneymakers this past summer and they are the best spikeless shoe I've ever worn. I now have 30 rounds walking in one pair and I have to say they are the best combination of comfort ad traction I've found.

The answer to better golf is work your butt off and learn how to hit it better, farther, and make more putts.

Strained my Achilles wearing Adidas Adi-Cross spikeless last summer and it put me out of the game for 8 weeks. It wasn’t caused by a slip but just playing 3 days out of 4. My sports physio took one look at my shoes and immediately noticed a lack of support under the arch and said it was not really designed to withstand the forces generated by the golf swing.

Ecco Biom have nailed the comfort, grip, support issue for me but I still won’t wear them if it is at all damp.

I play early in the mornings mostly when the dew is out and it's wet. I've worn spikeless Eccos for years no. I don't notice any difference from back when I wore soft spikes.

I also walk primarily when I play and find the spikeless more comfortable to walk in. Also, they feel lighter. Have never weighed comparables so can't prove it but definitely feels lighter

I haven't had any noticeable difference between a spiked and spikeless, I always just base it off the course. If it is more dry and hard pan I go spikeless for better traction as the pattern normally covers the entire foot and when it is harder and dryer the spikes might not grab on a traditional shoe. But on courses that have longer grass and are a little more lush I go spiked since the cleats will really have something to grab on to.
