New 2021 FootJoy and Titleist gear catalogs out.

Recommended Posts

The Traditions looks nice online and I'm excited to try them on in person.  My only concern is that the Traditions only have a 1-year waterproof warranty compared to the higher end FJ shoes such as the Tour X that have a 2-year warranty.  I've had a couple pairs of FJs over the years that lost their waterproof abilities around 1-2 years and FJ has been great replacing them under the warranty.

They feel good. Just like the traditional footjoys they have to be broken in. The sole is so soft which leads me to believe only a one year for waterproof

I know the new Premiers release on 2/15. Anyone know if the MyJoys will release at the same time? I love the look and would prefer to do the MyJoy option. However, I do not want to wait too long if not.

Nice kicks! Really like the look of the boas for shorts, can’t live with the boa jutting out the back otherwise.

Well said. I might have to pick up a pair of the grey BOAs come summertime, but I agree that system doesn't work well with pants. I've tried it and it makes my pants bunch up around the ankles.

Got a pair of hyperflex boa’s. Oh my lord these are the most comfortable golf shoes I have ever worn, feels like I’m just wearing another sock. If you walk these are going to be a dream. Only down fall is they are a little warm on the feet and I’m wondering how I’m going to keep them clean.

I am seriously looking at getting a pair of these.  How are they sizing wise compared to other FJs and brands in your experience?  I typically wear a 11.5 in adidas and Nike, but size down to a 10.5 or 11 for FJ usually.  I won't have a chance to try them on before ordering, so just curious.  Thanks.

I wear an 11 in under armour, went to a 10.5 for these.

You need some grey socks.

Had the hyperflex boa’s out for my round today. I can agree as stated earlier these are probably the most comfortable golf shoes I’ve ever worn. Traction was excellent. Really feel like your feet are locked in the way the boa system tightens up. It had rained this morning so it was a little wet but I had no problem keeping them clean.

not great changes, but some nice adjustments to titleist bags and FootJoy shoes. Really like what appears to be a cheaper ‘traditions’ model, like a hybrid sneaker/shoe style.

These look good...like a cross between the SL Pros and Dryjoys but cheaper than both!

how are they for stability? I have a lot of sway an find good, stable shoes help, but they are usually the heavier, less comfortable options.

I also wear the Tour X, which I would consider an extremely stable shoe. These are not as stable as the Tour x but they also don’t have the wide cleat placement the tour x has this being said they are still a fairly stable shoe. I didn’t feel any un planned foot movement during my swing.

I did notice they got a little warm, so it could possible be an issue. Can’t say for sure yet because I did have some thicker socks on because it was a semi-chilly windy day. I’m hoping it’s not an issue come summer with thin socks and shorts.

I have usually worn traditional looking golf shoes more often than not, but tried and have really enjoyed wearing a pair of Flex XPs since last spring.  That said, I tried on a buddy’s pair of the Hyperflex BOAs the other day, and even though they were a half size too small for me, it is obvious that they are super comfortable.  I really liked the way the BOA locked my heel into place, too.  May have to get a pair for myself (in addition to the all white Premiere in the Packard style—that is a must-have).

Do you find they are more comfortable than even spineless shoes?

I have more golf shoes then regular shoes lol. I won’t spend money on regular shoes but I don’t mind spending money on golf shoes for some reason lol. I’ve had True’s, GFore’s, Nike, UA, you name it but I think these are best of both worlds. They are as comfortable as any spikeless shoe I’ve had but also has the traction of a spiked shoe. And I can’t over exaggerate enough how good this BOA system is on these. It’s hard to explain but you know as soon as you put them on and tighten them up. It’s different then any other shoe I’ve had (BOA or not). Your feet feel so locked in the way it tightens up from the side, it’s just a very unique feeling.

That is awesome to hear. I was debating adidas code chaos for comfort when walking but love the way these look in grey and added BOA and they are comfy, looks like I will be staying in spikes this year.

I am in total agreement with you, for my money, the laced version looks a lot better. Not my kind of shoe at all (I will stick with my Icons) but if I had to chose between the HyperFlex, this is the one that I would going for.

Believe it to be $199.  Releasing 2/15.  Will be option on MyJoys (assume all 3 styles will be an option) - not clear if the MyJoy route will add to the price or not.

It's going to be hard for me not to order a pair or 2 of the Premiers right away.

Wore the Traditions for my round today. They are very comfortable, very lightweight, almost shockingly lightweight. Had no issues with traction at all today. Traditional looks, modern technology and a great price. Now after saying all that I think the Hyperflex BOA’s are on another level. The way they tighten it feels like they are molded to your feet. You feel so locked in. With the new Premiere line coming as well I think Footjoy is gonna have a big year.

I have a neuroma that seems to only be triggered by walking in spiked golf shoes, so I'm constantly on the lookout for a good spikeless golf shoe. It also needs to be full leather, since I like being a dewsweeper in the spring and summer. I just picked up a pair of the Stratos with the last of my shop credit, and they seem to have significantly more cushion than my Ecco Biom 3 Hybrids with a similar drop. Unfortunately, I won't get to play in them for a bit due to the weather.
