Great to see this course as a tour location. I think it will feature very well and be an interesting watch.

As I understand it, it's probably not going to remain in the rotation.  The CJ Cup is typically played in S.K., but due to the virus, the PGA elected to play stateside and Vegas got lucky.

I wouldn't think it would. I think they should move the Shriners to this course. I am sick seeing the boring TPCs of whatever city.. This course is way better. I have played TPC Las Vegas and it is pretty ho hum..

I struggle to get past his behaviour at the Scottish Open last year when we walked round with him and JT. That was the event that he tomahawked an iron on one fairway, thankfully there were no fans adjacent to where the club landed. His petulant behaviour was on display from the 2nd or 3rd hole. His language was appalling with kids around and the self entitlement spewed out of him. Was neither here nor there on him before then. After that, I am out.

He drives around in a tacky lambo while his father lives in council housing. Tells ya everything lol

Why is Tyrell Hatton such an insufferable p$@!? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player as obnoxious as him on a golf course. He shouldn’t be called professional because he is far from it. Dozens of players have said these are the best greens they have ever putter on, maybe aside from AGNC, and he’s pounding his putter into the surface after missing a 20 footer as if there is something wrong with the greens. Seriously dude? Grow the $&@? up.

As a Brit, I think I speak for many of us when I say, you guys can keep him. Complete tool. Easy to be charming when you shoot 65 but his behaviour and demeanour when it’s not going his way is appalling.

Watching Hatton now. Any shot that is less than perfect, even minor misses, get him all pissy and slamming his club into the ground or green. Unenjoyable to watch. Nothing but complaining and temper tantrums.

How do you grow perfect bentgrass in Vegas and not have it destroyed by the summer heat? I don’t care how much water you give it, that’s a monumental task.

The Shriners is played at TPC Summerlin, not Las Vegas. That said, I’ve played TPC Las Vegas as well and I loved it, in spite of the worst weather imaginable for Las Vegas.

I wonder if Shadow Creek has the infrastructure to host a real event with fans and all?

Looking at Google map, shuttles would have to run from somewhere, from above, there's not much room for spectators.  They can have this tournament early or late, but summer in LV would not be doable.

Shadow Creek may not want to host an event that includes fans and everything that comes with it.

They may have only agreed to this because it didn't include fans.

Just like when they had the Tiger vs. Phil match I don't think fans were allowed. Only some insiders with special access.

I’m not a million percent positive but the course likely just came out of overseed and is not bent grass in the summer.

It's owned by MGM.  Covid has killed their business, and they'll take anything they can get is my guess.

On another note, I find it really depressing to see all these gambling odds on the pga tour website and the golf channel.  And I bet golf!

You are correct, it is summerlin. I got them mixed. I have played summerlin, not Las Vegas.

I don’t think shadow creek could support and none covid restricted event. To bad as I would love for it to be a regular stop. It is an amazing course.

When the now Shriners event was still a 5 round pro-am event over multiple courses the TPC Las Vegas course was used.

You usually don’t plant a seasonal grass that holds up in the summer. You usually overseed in the winter due to colder, not warmer temps.

Correct, therefore my point that the course does not grow bent in the brutal summer months as I was responding to. The course is entering its prime season, so the summer Bermuda goes dormant and the course gets over seeded  in the winter to the bent you were commenting on.  They aren’t growing lush bent in the brutal summer months. Again, I am assuming they are fresh out of overseed for this event.

It was kind of funny and sad watching Hatton and Rahm paired together. It was like two 4 year olds competing to see who could have the biggest tantrum after every shot. Apparently they hit everything perfectly and only their biblically bad luck prevents them from holing every shot.

which round was this?

Absolutely stunning course. Some real decisions to be made off the tees and amazing condition.

The course is definitely better than the average PGA Tour fare, I'm enjoying it immensely. The field is pretty stellar, it's just a shame I won't see the end, it finishes far too late for me.

The other thing about this event is how it has failed to catch the imagination of the WRX members. Is this a WRX issue, a golf issue or is it a NFL issue.

Everyone’s too busy debating Bryson DeChambeau’s Armada vs. The Matthew Fitzpatrick Experience in the battle over the future of golf.

GOLFWRXers only watch Major Tournaments. Most think that the beginning of the wrap around season and the playoffs are boring...

Golf Channel can't fix the sound dropping for a second once every few minutes. Annoying.

Dropping audio because they are picking up profanity from the players after a shot?  Seems to be a continuous problem since there are no galleries.
