Am I the only one who was "offended" by the environmental carnage building / maintaining a course like Shadow Creek in the desert?

I kept thinking how everything about Las Vegas is fake.  It only stands to reason Shadow Creek is too.

The brought in 20000 trees, for goodness' sake!  

I couldn't watch the final round.

Oh I am well aware of that.  I'm fine with betting.  It was just how prominent it was as part of the broadcast.  Send people to an app or something to see odds.  But I want to know how a guy needs to get up and down from a bad lie, not what the odds of him doing so in order to make money are.

 

Of course this wouldn't the first sport I give up on this year due to "new enhancements" I will cal it.

I think Man taming a harsh wasteland and terraforming it into his very own oasis for the sole purpose of playing golf is pretty cool.

superficial search shows they've done some tech stuff with watering procedures for trees ... don't know what their water usage is relative to vegas city proper, but nothing negative turned up in the first pages of a search ... have no idea of the veracity of the article ... wouldn't be surprised to find that mgm puts in the extra dough to efficiently minimize water usage ...
