Who is more exciting to see at the Masters? Bryson or Tiger

I think Bryson could bring more interest to Masters than Tiger..

At the Masters it is always the course that I want to see. The nature of the tournament will lead to good stories and a great finish. That is what makes it so good.

Tiger's ability to flight, shape, and control backspin on iron and wedge shots is such an advantage at Augusta.  Is it possible Bryson can remove the necessity of that important skill with his "Bryson Smash" approach?  I don't think he can, not there.  To me, he doesn't seem to be even close to Tiger's level in controlling flight and more importantly spin on his shorter shots. 

 

That's what I love about watching Tiger.  Top Tracer becoming a thing on nearly every shot has brought my appreciation for Tiger's game to another level.

It's the Augusta National golf course, the Cathedral in the Pines, the green jacket, it was before Tiger and it will be after Bryson. This year is even better because this year we get to see it raw and I for one can't wait to see it, regardless of who it is I'm watching.

Tiger's game is not trending in the correct direction. He was playing really well prior to his 2019 Masters win. Now, he is mediocre at best. 

 

If Bryson is indeed going to put that 48 inch driver in play, it would certainly be entertaining. 

 

In summary, Tiger probably will get a Top 25 finish at best. Bryson either will go low or MC entirely.

Storylines I am most excited for ranked greatest to least:

 

1. Jordan Spieth rising from the grave to make a run at another Masters

2. Bryson cutting corners no one even imagined - guy might eagle every other hole followed by a double every other hole

3. Rory going for the slam

4. DJ shrugging off demons and cementing himself as a "great" with a green jacket

...

...

...

5. Tiger defending another jacket

 

Not to say I'm not a huge Tiger fan and I am very very excited to watch him plod those hollow grounds again. His comeback is already complete, he got another green jacket so now I just think those other story lines are more exciting to me this year.

I don’t think Bryson’s short game or iron play is well suited for the Masters.  But I really don’t know how the course will play in November. 
 

Tiger?  Just depends on how his back feels that week.
