GONE🔥OFFSET SUCKS BUTTERY FEEL DOESN'T- HONMA 737vn 4-10 (PW) 🔥

Recommended Posts

These made in Sakata Japan beauties are BUTTERY soft and have phenomenal turf interaction. ESSENTIALLY NO OFFSET, beautiful squared off toe, and thin topline. These are higher quality than the newer Honma offerings and feel as good as anything out there (coming from someone who plays Miura). Some of the cleanest players CBs I've ever seen TBH. Understated and pure.

4-10 (what they call a PW) at standard L/L/L. S300 with like new MCC +4

Traded!

  • Tree Levino changed the title to 🔥Hate offset? Buy my Honma 737vn 🔥

Those are beautiful irons. I'm a mid h.c'er but can't play with a lot of offset. I would love to have these one day.

For now my Acer XV Tours will do and surprisingly they look about the same with the same amount of offset too. I can't remember having ever seen a set of irons that more suits my eyes - until I saw these Honma's - thanks.

"Shirtsleeve" swing technique:

1. Setup: Elbows bent forearms pressed together against shaft slightly forward of center with "Hogan" "active/flexed" leg tension left foot turned out slightly and the right leg slightly farther to the right - weight mostly on balls of feet butt of left hands sits on the top of the grip with very light grip.

2. Swing - W/o disturbing weight distribution of legs and feet lower hands while doing a forward press "swing trigger" then the left upper arm takes over on the backswing, it needs to go out in front of the body then back in front of the chest as the hands trace down initially then up to over the right shoulder "Torres". The goal is to not disturb the pressure of the feet during the initial takeaway.

Notes:

1. Only swing thought after swing trigger - extend left arm at shirt sleeve when reaching left hand over right shoulder "Shirtsleeve technique".

2. The upper left arm move "Shirtsleeve technique" can be practiced independently without a club, sitting down for instance

3. The correct feet tension can be felt by doing very short hops on the balls of the feet then holding the same feeling of pressure on the front of the feet and then taking three practice swings with the grip very loose in order to not disturb the same pressure on the feet and on the 3rd swing actively do the "Shirtsleeve" move. From there the swing should be done within a matter of seconds to not lose the feel of the legs resisting, this way this is not a learned technique as much as it is a setup technique.

I just recently added a wishlist of all the small cavity backs with almost no offset I can never afford, at least in this life (I expect we can still play golf in heaven), and the Honmas are at the top of the list with Mizuno MP-18 MMC's and Bridgeston J33's following.

They really are phenomenal in that regard. Furthermore, the soft/solid feel genuinely is up there with the best of them and they go through the turf like butter. A very slept on company. If money becomes no issue I’ll be adding a set of rose proto to the garage as some point but for now I have to let go of everything surplus.
