Hands in cold weather

I’ve tried golf gloves specifically designed for cold weather but did not get along with them - felt slippery.

 

Any novel idea that’s worked for you?

 

Or a brand of cold weather gloves that worked for you?

 

I’m a walker that uses a push cart, so difficult to keep hands in pocket

I've got those and they are nice.

 

Also, I purchased a adidas brand quarterback style "tube" handwarmer that you wear around the waist, very lightweight.

Swing it around to the back when I swing or putt.

Exactly right.  Mitts that fit over your hands (golf glove included).  Some can be attached to your push cart.

I'll add that years ago I bought the big Ping oven mitt style gloves for this use. I've used them like twice. It took more time putting them on and off and eventually I just gave up, even in the coldest of conditions.

I carry a couple of those shake up hand warmers that hunters and skiers use.  You could hold one while pushing the cart with the other hand and switch off?  If that isn't enough then it's probably below my temp threshold to play.

Hand warmers inside of the mitts has to be the best option besides grabbing one of the propane heaters for golf carts and duct taping it to the push cart

Buy a pair of nice cart mitts and wear them until you address the ball.  That's what most touring pros do and I would do if I was back in my home state facing snow.

I use "garbage mitts."  In Canada you can find them anywhere.  Oversize winter mitts, usually lined and made of leather.  I use them for golf all the time.  Warm and since they are oversized, they slide off and on no problem.  Take them off for hitting the ball and then back on.  When it is really cold, I even putt with them on.

These work well to keep your hands warm, and, they have a pocket to put in hand warmers into, if you need them.

I have really cool mittens that strap velcro to my push cart handles and there is also a pocket in each one for a hand warmer

Agree with zero restriction gloves as above. I find the grip & comfort better than the Mizuno & FJ winter gloves I own. I frequently also use handwarmers in my pockets & rarely use the big mitts and the quarterback type roll I have.

The Zero Restriction gloves sounded enticing until I went to the website and saw the $88/pair price.   Is it fairly easy to find these cheaper than what the OEM lists them?

When it comes to the point of wearing garbage mitts to putt, it is too cold outside to play golf.

I've got them on, at least part of the time, when it gets below 10ºC (45ºF) as I don't wear a glove and use cord grips.  Nice warm hands make a difference.  I no longer have any desire to play golf when it is too cold.

They usually last at least three seasons - love them for winter golf

Currently $48 on Amazon.  They cost more because they simply do the job.  After having these for a couple years I would even pay (with a bit of complaining) full list price to replace them.  Everything else is either too bulky or doesn't provide good traction compared to the ZR gloves.  Gore material works because they simply don't compromise.

Cart mittens, hand warmers in pockets, either or work fine.  Agreed those winter gloves are pretty useless

Just get mitts and put one of these in each mitt. I use one with my Titleist sling. Works great.

I used my clucgesr mitts on Wednesday here in chicago 

 

nir super cold but it was mid-40’s with 20 mph south wind

 

the clic gear mitts let me wear my normal golf glove which was nice.
