Champions Tour Event (Dominion Energy Charity Classic) Thread

Phil is in in 2nd with some other relatively big name older players (Weir, Els, Goosen, Langer, Furyk, etc.), but it does not seem to be televised or streaming until 2:30 pm EST.  Any ideas how to watch now?

I agree about the personal ATM thing.....why not pile up those $300-400 checks for hitting bombs off the tee and when you get tired jump on a cart...Wonder if Phil will play a lot of tournaments on the Champions Tour!?!

It’s funny how a guy like Weir can basically disappear from existence for 15 years. He was hitting his driver 250 yards dead sideways but as soon as he is old enough to play with old  guys it’s suddenly game on again! I’m starting to like watching the champions two or more and more. More relatable for me. I’ve probably played with Weir 35 times and I’m rooting for him but it’s a tall ask against Mickelson.  He’s been so far removed from anything remotely resembling the lead for so long...

This is Phil’s tournament to lose after Weir’s bogey on 14 and drive on 15.

                He was using some sort of KBS shaft in the last senior event, that’s what I remember.  Looks like some sort of project x shaft today

Phil looks like he’s put on some lean muscle. I wouldn’t be surprised if he can move more weight in the gym then Bryson.   
 

and I absolutely agree, not relatable. I did read that Phil choose this event specifically over the Vegas event to work on his bombs for Augusta, though.  He might have played a more relatable game had he not been focused on how inaccurate and violent he can make his once smooth swing.
