Ping PLD Prime Tyne??

Mine came in today! Freezing here in Canada so no courses are currently open but have been rolling it on my indoor green. Definitely a keeper!

I was surprised how small it was but man it’s a solid stick

Comparison to Tyne Sigma -

• it feels heavier, but it might be the hang weight as my old Tyne is the "straight" while the PLD is the "slight".
• it looks smaller but its not that much smaller across the face, its more the tynes aren't as long.
• the face is seems to be hotter, as I hit a few puts with both.

I putted really well on long putts with mine the 1st time out with it. Drained a couple long ones. And the rest of the long ones were really close. I did miss a couple short ones though. Maybe I wasn't concentrating enough on those. It does seem to roll the ball really well.

Only used mine for indoor golf and my basement putting green, but loving the look and feel. I was so stoked to see a smooth face retail putter again. Might order another one as a collector as I've got some gift cards to burn.

I tried last week- but our Rep wasn't able to get any. Was hoping there might be one floating around retail somewhere.

Check the BST. A few have been listed under retail and only rolled a few times.

Just got my LH in today. It looks so much better in person, I don’t even want to take it out of the wrapper.

Its a been a long time since interested me. How is the feel compare to something like the spider? Forgiveness? Stability?

Rolled a ton of putts with it today at my local GolfHQ.  I have been in a bit of a putting slump and wanted to take something new home.  I was rolling side by side with all the newer spider models (favorite was chalk x), couple of Scottys, and a couple of odysseys.

I would say the PLD feels closest to the Toulon and Scottys.  The spider x felt softer and a bit more stable.  Every other club in my bag is currently TaylorMade but I came home with the PLD.  It was a tough decision but I felt it won for me on the 3 and 4 footers, but only by a hair.  It feels really dense and solid if that makes sense?  We will see if it stays in the bag over my Spider Tour black?

Forgiveness and stability is very similar to the spider. Feel is completely different. It’s classic Ping feel in a high MOI mallet. Perfection if you ask me.

You guys still liking these? I’m a sucker for a murdered out club, just added the T200 irons in all black and when I saw this I was intrigued. Lucky for my cc no one had any left. But on Friday I was looking for something else at DSG and when the link came up it was my previous search for this putter. And it showed “low stock” instead of out of stock. Snagged it and arrives on Monday, lol. Guess I lucked into one.

Just bought one new... Ole faithful has been letting me down lately and I haven't bought a "new" putter since Bush was in office. Putted with a Sigma Tyne 4 and it was a tad big for my liking but I liked the shape. Also a sucker for murdered out clubs.
