Ping can take offset out of their irons at the factory. Wouldn’t surprise me if some guys are playing highly customized sets of i210’s

Those look more like a S58 replacement than a hollow body 770 competitor. The toe weight may give you the thought it’s hollow however I don’t believe it is.

Man it’s hard to follow ping and club names. They are all over the map i210 to i59 s55 then came iblade. G400 g410 then g425???

Agreed. Gone are the good old days of incrementing by 1 and then 5.

All went downhill after the "G" and iE1 lol.

Not that hard.

"S" is the pro level, "i" is the player's "CB" level and "G" is the game improvement level.

And I'll bet if you thought about it really hard you'd know why they went to 425 instead of 420 for the "G" level,,,,,,,,,,, :classic_cool:

Come on Ping - I'm ready to upgrade from my S55! Srixon Z, Callaway Apex Pro - both look really good. I'm a 14 club Ping guy and don't want to switch, but we're coming up on 5 years since the release of iBlade. I know your engineers are capable of coming up with a great looking, technologically current iBlade upgrade.

I prefer to be rewarded for the flushed shot vs the cover up of the toe and heel misses?  The center mass rewards one with the sweetest feel possible when flushed.  I am not sure scores would be affected with the choice of either.

Kind of feels like Ping is making it hard to be a loyalist. The updates to the s (now iblade) and i series is just a really long time to game the same set of irons.

I know a lot of folks get upset with other companies releasing too frequently, but waiting 5 years for an iblade update is just painful. I guess the i series is fairly close to the iblade, but even the i210 is 3 years old now.

Blueprint, to me, is in a completely separate category.

Love Ping, have always been a Ping player starting with the i series, and past few generations of s series/iblade. But now I'm in need of some new irons and it just doesn't feel right buying a brand new set that has been on the rack for almost 5 years.

Agreed.  Those apex pros are looking real nice to me, but im still going to wait for the i59.  Dont want any buyer remorse.

I used to be as big of a Ping fan as there was. Since I started playing Wilson irons that has taken a turn. If you loved the iblades check out the new Wilson CB's. You won't regret it.

I'm patiently waiting to see what the replacement for the i210 is. You can't buy them here in Canada anymore, so in theory we should see something soon.

That said, we're not playing golf for another 4 months here anyway, so there's no rush. I understand why others are getting antsy though. Ping seems to have made a total balls-up of the G425 release, and I'm not confident they won't make the same mistake with these irons either.

This week, the PGA Tour is at TPC San Antonio on the Oaks Course for the Valero Texas Open. GolfWRX was on-site Tuesday to catch a glimpse into the bags of some of the world’s top golfers.

The field of 144 is getting ready to battle starting Thursday for the $7.7 million purse, with $1.386 million going to the winner. The tournament is also the last event where players can qualify for The Masters, just like Canadian Corey Conners did last year.
