PXG One & Done

This showed up in the newest Golf magazine. Coupled with the Blackjack, they are part of a Darkness mallet collection. We need details on this one...

I just ordered the Blackjack but no regrets. This looks to be a full sized mallet and I prefer my mallets on the smaller side. Looks great though and I love the naming for this as well. If it looks like the blackjack then the view at address must be super clean and flat/smooth.

 

Interesting to see from the magazine photo the bottom/leading edge of the putter seems to be more rounded/curved? Or it's the bend from the magazine haha

I was thinking it looks like the GunBoat line - the change being a big tungsten piece in the back instead of the two back-center weight ports.  Interesting stuff though.  I have to say I really like their putters..  I am taking the Lucky D out on the course for the first time on Sunday

Agree in their putters. Very underrated in my option. They have great feel off the face (Gen2).

He had the gunboat in Bermuda. Guy is as mental about putters as I am.

Dam PXG, just got my Armlock Blackjack dialed in and now they come out with this. Really like the aiming aids on the top. Got an email on them today as they are available for order through the PXG 1000 club. May have to pull the trigger on this!!!!

Yeh it does look good, caved in and ordered it.

 

I'm just the opposite as you. The BlackJack was just a tad smaller than what I like. The full mallet just fits my eye and especially this one with the alignment aids.

That is nice. But not nice enough for me to give up my mini Gunboat. I putt well with it anyhow.

Totally understand. Not bragging but I am a very good putter and the PXG Gunboat H is money for me. But before I bought it I used a Guerin Rife 2-Bar Mallet for a few years and was really good with it. Tried the Gunboat and was even better.

 

Guess what I'm trying to say is you never know until you try something else, especially in golf!!!!!!!

 

Really Really like the alignment aids on top of the One and Done. Shape and weight is very similar to the Gunboat H so this should be a great fit for me.

Just read the write up from the other site. I like the looks of this putter. There's almost so much alignment on this thing that none of it stands out (good for what I like). But the big back tungsten weight and the feel of a rearward CoG is notpreferable. I think I'll get along just fine with the blackjack that will arrive at my door today.

Any feedback on feel of the PXG makers you guys are using compared to the One and Done?  It says on their site that it is aluminum and Tungsten. I have tried Cameron aluminum putters in the past and they felt horrible. Wondering what these feel like.

Just putter with this at PXG HQ. Tried the Blackjack also. I am a slant neck guy and tried them both in that. Long time Spider user and now using the Spider X. Played a Gen2 Gunboat for over a year and should have never sold it. I like big mallets. 
 

Love, love, love the alignment on this bad boy. Feels a little better than the Blackjack. More dense.  Maybe because the back weight?? Not sure. Serious competition for my next putter or the Blackjack. I’ll go back and putt some more before I order.... that will be some time though.
