But why should original seller be out any $ for your lack of due diligence?  The original listing contains all the info you needed, and the shaft was received in the as described condition.

I was just trying to come up with a solution for both of us. This was after he initially said he’d take it back. Since he changed his mind and the shaft isn’t selling and he isn’t taking the shaft back I had to resort to a thread since an admin told me that’s what to do.

Golf Gods say accept the return!

But why would the seller not take it back assuming he is made whole?  My guess is because the seller now knows the shaft won’t sell at the same price with full disclosure of the tipping (and I realize

He doesn't need a solution....that's the point. He didn't misled you in anyway.

In my defense I had no idea about the tipping which is why I didn’t have it posted on the original post. Graphics to tip were posted as well as length. Condition was as posted, which is like new. I don’t usually ask about tipping but obviously it’s a huge thing. Lesson learned.

Welcome to the thread, how’d you find it ? I didn’t post your listing or name on here.

On certain tips that are very stiff in the tip section, the tipping actually will soften the playing profile.  The reason for this is because the beefy section has been partially removed.  it all depends on the shaft profile.  Its not a absolute, that tipping will make the shaft stiffer.

* I do remember reading that the Ventus is tip stiff and it is not advised to tip it, perhaps that recommendation is because it will make the shaft play softer ?

No, this is not true. There are no shafts in existence that tipping makes them softer.  The poster from fujikura talks about this in the ventus tipping thread. It's relatively tip stiff but the absolute stiffness is still significantly less than the butt of the club. Tipping any shaft makes it stiffer.

But why would the seller not take it back assuming he is made whole?  My guess is because the seller now knows the shaft won’t sell at the same price with full disclosure of the tipping (and I realize that the seller didn’t know about the tipping before but he knows now).  So basically the seller has taken the attitude, buyer too bad you’re stuck with it?

Because I sold the sim and am currently playing G410. There are guys on here with higher swing speeds than 110. Most guys on tour play the blue 1-2 inches tipped. Most play black tipped 1. I’d take it back if I had the sim but don’t have any need for it.
