Awesome video.. I think TXG is paying attention to this thread and conversations here regarding Ventus.. Seems to me he hit the standard tipping better.

Thanks Quigley, great video.  Big TXG fan here.  Glad this wasn't about their little game called just the tipping.

Hey Fujikura if we are not supposed to tip Ventus.  Release the purple!  Between us girls, we promise not to tell anyone what it is.  Quigley and I are in as your first two customers and designated test dummies.

Before that, I think we need a counter balance ventus model. The Ventus white call it.. Just reverse the paint of the black. White shaft black lettering..

I would personally say to use the blue as the base but most would probably want a counter balanced black.

Patrick Reed once had a Ventus Black Proto CB, the Fujikura guys said it doesn't make since to bring to retail as the regular Ventus is already counterbalanced enough.

we painted one up metallic purple (like TCU color) with silver decal a long time ago for fun and it looked awesome

White shaft with black decal we've experimented with before too, it is cool looking. Like a zebra.

Correct he did. A very unique proto that was...

That is not entirely true as to why we did not bring it to retail, more to it than that.

Please allow us to clarify before misinformation spreads, that is why we are here...to the rescue! 🙂

In general, the shafts we produce are more "counterbalanced" than they used to be 5-10 years ago because we've had to adapt to club head weights going up a bit. That being said, VENTUS Black is not what we'd deem as "counterbalanced" like tensei orange or hazardous yellow are.

Fun Fact - Blue 6-X and Black 6-X are only .5 grams apart when we measure swingweight / balance point of the raw shafts when we spec them out.

Fun Fact #2 - VENTUS Red 6-X has a lighter swingweight / higher balance point than VENTUS Black 6-X

I personally do not need one. I was speaking as a fitter, I think a counter balanced model would be more beneficial then a tweener red/blue profile.

I personally think the blue is all the shaft I need. I also really like the red. The black although a great shaft and obviously extremely popular and I don't jive. The red being so butt stiff and softer (relative) to the rest being the most counterbalanced makes total sense..

The team here at Fuji in Carlsbad we all love Ion Plating (IP) finish. We've had some in the past like the original Vista Tour. There are definitely some considerations with cost & durability, but we're looking into it for future products for sure. We have not gone down the PVD route though.

In my head, this translates to.  Red tipped 2" in purple PVD with a slight upcharge.... and here is my payment info.

I’m telling you man.  I’ve had the same convo a couple times.  Whne I got it I said the same thing myself. 3 swings in i was like “ what’s happening here “.  Because  I knew I was seeing a higher window , but not the ballooning type high Id seen with a shaft that adds a ton of dynamic loft at impact.

it reminds me of the modus 130x iron shafts  I love.  Higher. But flat when it gets there.  And point and shoot.

Awh Crap! Well there ya go.  As soon as I saw that it reminds you of Modus 130x iron shafts.  Now I got to try a Red in my TSI3.  I soft stepped my Modus 130x iron shafts once.  Wonder what flex and tipping or no tipping I should try in the Ventus Red??  The red initially does scare me as I tend to launch it pretty high and struggle with ballooning with the driver but from what I'm reading I shouldn't be as freaked out about it.

I’d try it untipped.  Leave it 1/2 inch long at the butt and that will leave you room to tip trim 1/4 or 1/2 inch if need be.  I guarantee you don’t need to tip it more than 1/2 inch. It’s not whippy , it’s not loose and it’s not soft when untipped.  I prefer it untipped.

most that strategy will cost you is a grip if you decide to leave it untipped and do a final butt cut.

Out of curiosity, would anyone know what a red 6X playing @44.5 in a G410+ with standard 50g grip would swing weight out to?

My rough guess would be around D1-2 at that length given pings heavier head weight.
