Ping G410 LST and Diamana D+ 62 Stiff vs. Ventus Black 6X

Recommended Posts

Hey folks,

As a new dad with cabin fever, I spend a lot of time perusing the WRX classifieds.

I made a stress-induced impulse buy yesterday and want to get some opinions and things to think about for my most recent purchase...

Currently, I run a G410 LST @ 9.5* with a Diamana D+ 62 Stiff. I don't hate it at all...about 1/3 of my shots are straight, 1/3 slight draw, 1/3 push-fade.

On a whim, I bought a Ventus Black VeloCore 6X last night and will give it a try this weekend.

Aside from the obvious "Just hit it, dummy!" and "Get fitted, you clown!" comments that have obvious merit, what differences would you expect to find between the two shafts? I am a burly dude with a pretty aggressive swing so I'm hoping the stability of the Ventus will be helpful.

The ventus in X is going to be stiffer than the stiff shaft obviously.  I think we see a lot of Ventus Black X on BST because it is too stiff for people, though they won't admit it lol.

I really do wish there was a way to predict what will happen, but every player swings every shaft differently.

Let us know how it goes

Titleist TSi3 w/Accra TZ6 65 M4 (tipped 1 inch)
Titleist TSi2 15 degree w/Accra TZ6 75 M4 (Tipped 1.5 inches)

Titleist TSi2 21 degreee w/Accra TZ6 75 M4 (Tipped 2 inches)

4-PW Titleist T200 w/Aerotech Steelfiber Black Label i110 stiff @3/4" over standard
Titleist Vokey SM8 Raw 50/54/58 w/Aerotech Steelfiber Black Label i110 stiff @3/4" over standard
