Course is setup for a TW repeat here. The guy can hit it high, low, hit low bombs with his stinger, and basically play around any kind of weather the course throws at him. My money is on Tiger this time.

Folks who bomb the ball with no accuracy aren't going to be successful here. I predict "missed cut" for those type of players.

Hope that plays out, but will el Tigre's back hold up in cool, wet weather?

Maybe, maybe not.

But Tim Clark and Brett Wetterich are not Rory and DJ.

Those greens will still be fast and the slopes will still be there.  Can you hit and hold a spot?  Maybe easier.  But you still then run the risk of putting it off the green or no chance at getting it close if you are in the wrong spot.

It's not always the case or guarantee that the greens are blazing there. They do have advanced control but there' been years where they were somewhat benign. The year Spieth won comes to mind.

Friday looks to be the day that gets the most rain ...

https://www.actionnetwork.com/golf/2020-masters-golf-betting-weather-rain-wind-augusta-national

This week’s weather will max out at right around 80 degrees for the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday practice rounds, then dip to the upper 70s for the four tournament days. There is at least a 35% chance of rain from Thursday through Sunday, however, with Friday’s second round likely getting the worst of it, currently projected with an 88% probability for some precipitation.

yes when no one could reach the par 5s. Bryson had short irons into 2 and 8 in practise (apparently)

Preposterous. No chance he gets in the fairway down the slope on two for three or four days when it’s raining.

In fact I wager he won’t even hit the first fairway twice if he’s trying to carry the right hand bunker. T20 for Bryson.

Lee Elder to be honorary starter beginning in 2021. Awesome!

Thread just got locked up, so no politics (!) - the other initiatives announced in connection with Lee being invited are great and if the club wants to break with its own traditions and look to some other ways to expand its considerable charitable and other work on behalf of the game, great!
