So, on GC Chamblee talked about how Rory went to see Butch on the down low since he cannot work with his coach due to covid. Of course it did not remain on "down low" and Butch did have him work a change..............I'm not surprised he's not doing well.

It was just a thought.  Nicklaus at one point claimed even he worked on some draws getting ready for Augusta earlier in his career, so there's that sort of counterpoint as well.  I think the draw feeling maybe comes more from thinking of certain tee shots on some key holes?  But plenty of holes are happy with a fade.  All IMO, and maybe physics is against me, but nice, high fades always seem to be the suggested prescription for Augusta type greens.

350yds vs 300yds is 14.3%. A 50 yard gap. 

If the limit was maxed out at 300yds by the long hitters, the others would only be hitting 257.1 yds. A 42.9 yd difference.

Draw off the tee, fade to the green. But what really matters is the slice out of the pine straw. THAT is the shot that keeps on giving.

It’s not the distance that matters, it’s the penalty for not making flush contact. With modern drivers there is almost no penalty for the miss hit.

People won’t be swinging hard enough to hit it 15% farther if they reintroduce a penalty for miss hits.
