Is it about touting the piece or whether the predictions have panned out? They pretty much haven’t, but as I said golf handicapping is pretty much Ouija board stuff so it isn’t a knock or surprising they haven’t.  It’s golf.

I do not like Nance.  The dude is fawning and obsequious aka boot licker.  I would rather have Johnny Miller there.  I have no real issue with Faldo but Nance should be commenting on 4th division college ladies softball games.

When CBS cut Kostis, McCord and Macatee loose from their golf broadcast team over the winter I posted about how I wished they had done the same with IBF. His commentary today just makes me more certain of that opinion. It is one thing to be positive, but listening to his Pollyanna commentary on the antics at #8 was just too much.

 

On another note, while I thought CBS dumping Macatee over the winter wasn't much of a loss, when they (to my astonishment) brought him back for this week at Augusta I was surprised to notice how good it sounded to hear him on the call of the holes he was assigned. He is better than I remembered. They should bring him back full-time.
