No, he played a course akin to a normal tour event. Prior to this he’d won 1 major and what, 25 regular events?

Disagree with you milesgiles, disagree with you.  Wouldn't that mean that Rory did not win the USO because it was wet?  Rose did not win the USO because it was wet.  Rory didn't win the PGA because it was wet.  So on and so forth.

Ah, mystery solved. DeShampoo is obviously easily deciphered, but I had to read three pages of comments and watch a youtube video before I could definitively prove the Brooks/Bruce association. Waaaaaay too much work for a Monday morning.

it's kind of funny because a few years ago at The Masters Vern referred to him as Bruce and had to correct himself on air.

He’s been working on hitting a cut for like five years now and I’m not sure it’s benefited him once.

Yeah, at first I was thinking simple mistake or autocorrect or something, but then I began seeing it everywhere. I knew there had to be more to the story...

 

So, I began "researching" on the web, and you know what? I discovered that I can order brand new t-shirts over the internet and as a result, I never have to do laundry again.

Congrats to DJ and I don't care that there wasn't anything normal about ANGC, it's still the best major and the best golf course in the world. Great job by everyone and of course I missed seeing the patrons & hearing the roars but that didn't diminish this tournament at all because ESPN and CBS did a great job showing us the golf courses beauty. I loved the drone shots from above.

No not at all. I said it like four holes into his second round—he spent his first round playing golf swing, then finally started playing golf. Dude is a total feel player, yet he’s got this crazy tendency to forget or fight against that. When he just goes out and plays he’s easily the best of his generation. When he’s thinking about his swing or what he should be doing or what shot he should be hitting he’s instantly lost. 

 

He spent the first few years of his career making the game look easy as anyone ever has, because it had always been that easy for him, ever since he picked up a club. Then somewhere along the line he convinced himself that the game of golf was in fact hard. And lo and behold it became hard for him.

This is a fun game.  Which other majors can we take away?  I'm thinking if I get creative enough I can take away a good number.  

 

Here's an idea: in regards to DJ's win at Oakmont he actually gets credit for 2 majors, I say again 2 majors, because, milesgiles, not only does Oakmont meet your criteria of being firm, dry, having crowds ect.. that particular major also has the distinction of the USGA knowingly and purposely trying to sabotage Dustin WHILE HE WAS STILL ON THE F**** COURSE.  

 

DJ was still able to win at Oakmont and for the reason that the Sunday was an absolute cluster F**** courtesy of the USGA -  DJ now gets credit for 2 majors coming from one tournament.  

 

Congrats to DJ, for winning his 3 major at Augusta on Sunday.  Well done!
