This is a fun game.  Which other majors can we take away?  I'm thinking if I get creative enough I can take away a good number.

Here's an idea: in regards to DJ's win at Oakmont he actually gets credit for 2 majors, I say again 2 majors, because, milesgiles, not only does Oakmont meet your criteria of being firm, dry, having crowds ect.. that particular major also has the distinction of the USGA knowingly and purposely trying to sabotage Dustin WHILE HE WAS STILL ON THE F**** COURSE.

DJ was still able to win at Oakmont and for the reason that the Sunday was an absolute cluster F**** courtesy of the USGA -  DJ now gets credit for 2 majors coming from one tournament.

Congrats to DJ, for winning his 3 major at Augusta on Sunday.  Well done!

So I’ve just gone through Wikipedia and by my count I’ve got:

Nicklaus, 47.33 majors

Tiger, 47.25 majors

So close!

Are you sure you gave Tiger enough credit for the USO win at Torrey?  Winning on one leg?  Come on, man.

I took that into account. Gave the man 4.75 majors for that one. Also gave Rocco 1.5 majors for his witty banter.

Very wise.  Continue with your contabulations.

Id go with both. Crowds are a big factor, so is the softness of the greens. Was it second day dj and Rory barely made the front edge of the ninth, which in every single year would have ended up at the bottom of the hill 60 yards away? 7 as well, numerous balls holding up there on the collar.

it was relatively quite hard to make the usual Augusta mistakes this year. Even 15 after laying up, it’s still a small target to a firm green. Took a lot of pressure off the leader, I’ll call it half a major..

What % of a major would you call it had Rose, Westwood, Fleetwood or Poulter won ?

I really thought that, when Rory won the British Open, that Royal Liverpool looked like a dump AND it was overcast and dreary. Coupling this with how wet the conditions were for the rest of his Majors, Rory is actually in the hole a Major. Let's see if he can climb out sometime next year and get back to even.

Wow. Rory at -1 majors.

Feeling conflicted here.

Ahhh yes.  Very good point.  Because Rory's majors were so easy, and he didn't realize he was doing this to himself at the time, he actually stands at negative 1 major victories.  He's  the only pro living or dead to carry the title of being a negative one in all-time major wins.

Given his incredible talent and the fact he didn't play college golf, he really started -2 majors, IMHO

Hey... s#!t happens when there's water, or no wind, or a lack of fans. Them's the breaks and the Golf God's gotta tax you fairly, especially if you win one in one country but live in another. Double Golf Tax, Google it.

I'm not sure if it was a moustache as much as it was his best attempt to grow a beard. It was equally scraggly in all the un-connecting spots...lol

You all are being way too hard on the young Australian lad.  You can't project your uptight 'Merican cultural values onto him.  His facial hair is the perfect embodiment of "g'day mates!" and I for one totally support that.

Sometimes I swear I have a hard time telling which former colony began as a prison....

OT...I thought it was weird that Paulina was allowed to wear Yoga pants all 4 days of the broadcast. Even my club doesn't allow those on course or in the club house, so very refreshing that AGNC is so progressive and doesn't body shame women.

Joe Ford made the call.

"thanks to our sponsors, Paulina can wear those pants 56 minutes of every hour."

lol...that was a funny one. I agree. I dug the beard, the shag pouring out the cap, and especially the gold buckled ostrich hide belt. He looked like a young Brian Barnes almost, like all he needs to completely get there is to develop a professional scotch drinking habit.

No not at all. I said it like four holes into his second round—he spent his first round playing golf swing, then finally started playing golf. Dude is a total feel player, yet he’s got this crazy tendency to forget or fight against that. When he just goes out and plays he’s easily the best of his generation. When he’s thinking about his swing or what he should be doing or what shot he should be hitting he’s instantly lost.

He spent the first few years of his career making the game look easy as anyone ever has, because it had always been that easy for him, ever since he picked up a club. Then somewhere along the line he convinced himself that the game of golf was in fact hard. And lo and behold it became hard for him.

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

Lol. Yeah I was being facetious.  He seems to have missed the correlation though.

Not at all. I’m just listening to the point of view that says this major suited the chaps with less intestinal fortitude. I’m sure DJ would rather win a real jacket in April

Huge for DJ. To be fair, easy conditions made scoring super possible the first 3 days. Rory and Brooks had a chance but made way too many early mistakes. I could've seen them both at -16 --- -19 come Sunday if it wasn't for those errors. DJ played virtually flawless, no big numbers. Good stuff.

Cam Smith is a beast. First man with four rounds in the 60s, once again granted fairly easy conditions with no spectators taunting and heckling but still, impressive.

Tiger, played well, but all I got to say is, nice blowup on 1 ;(

Grats to DJ, man should have way more majors than just 2.
