Lefty blades

I've decided I want to venture into a blade style iron instead of always thinking I can't hit them. I'm a 10 handicap and thanks to 18 birdies I can finally see what I've been doing wrong.

I have the Mizuno JPX 900 now and they are fine but not much for the "feel" aspect. I'd really like to get the MP-20 SEL but not sure about the blade version 5-pw and the MMC by Mizuno doesn't come in left hand. What are some suggestions you have from other manufacturers?

Wilson Staffs and the MP20's are my two favorites but every major oem makes a great blade.

I'm a righty but I play the P7MB and have to say I could not be happier.  Luckily TM finally decided to make a lefty version!

Wilson is LH friendly.  Mike Weir only played with Wilsons most of his amateur career and in the first years as pro because they were one of the few OEMs that offered LH Blades.

you could try the new jpx 21 tours SEL.  Or even give the cobra cb/mb a run.  I know the mizzy jpx tours are not blades but i think you would get all the feedback you wanted from them. i am fit for a the tours on Tuesday. I tried the mp sel blades but I feel like i get a little more forgiveness in the tours and the feel is pretty close between them. The feedback on mishits/ non middle strikes is there.

It depends what look and feel you prefer. There are pretty big differences from brand to brand in terms of feel. Titleist feels more “solid/firmer” to me. Callaway Apex MBs are the softest to me. I think it also depends how you interact with the turf. Wilson’s and Mizunos are awesome for me as I’m a bit on the steeper side. I would suggest hitting everything you can and go with what you like best.

I’ve hit the Mizuno sel and quite liked them. I’m curious about the P770 from TM. I’m not sure new less forgiving irons will be improve my game but maybe with the extra feel.

as far as forgiveness goes, I wonder how much difference there would be between the JPX 900 and the sel or 770?

Not the best feeling though... kinda clanky. I found that the p7MCs feel softer.

FG62 and MP68 were the best feeling, but I liked the smaller size of the FG.

 

Nikes were AMAZING too but the leading edge was a tad sharp for a digger like me

Never any love for Fly Z pros? They are beautiful and feel great. Almost finished customizing a LH set now. Nippons, red iomic grips a bit of red paint fill and chrome ferrules. Just gotta put the medallion back in the toe and finished.

Not entirely a blade but t100 is very thin and packs tech like the mmc. MP20 SEL is a very good iron as well. Taylormade, Titleist and Callaway all have lefty pure blades as well.

I play the Fly Z Pro combo and they are tough to beat. Feel and size of a blade, but the tungsten weight definitely helps with forgiveness. They are surprisingly long as well!

I played the Titleist 716 MBs for a season a few years back.  Loved them, especially the turf interaction.
