I have a Studio Stock #7 that I absolutely love. I have now gamed it for 3 full seasons and I can honestly say that not once have I even considered a different putter. It’s absolutely perfect.

Ugh, I foolishly sold mine and I regret it every time I see one.  I picked up a Signature model 9 (same shape with a milled face instead of a FIT face) but I still hate myself for getting rid of that SS7.  Great stick!

need some grip help. Ive played a SS GTR tour for the last few years and really like it. i have a feeling that the options for this year fall both bigger and smaller than that. anyone have any insight. the sink fit standard seem like a slightly thicker pistol or maybe the same as a ping cord, although i could be completely wrong.

The standard grip is the same thing as the Lamkin Deep Etched, if that helps. I'd say it's about the same size as the Ping cord, maybe just a hair bigger. I'd consider the Deep Etched to be a classic "midsized" grip - definitely bigger than a standard Pingman, but not as big as something like a SS 2.0. I'm not 100% sure on how it compares to the SS GTR tour grip, but I'd imagine that the standard is definitely closer to that size than the jumbo.

Sorry, misunderstood what you were asking.

The Jumbo is pretty heavy. Just something to consider...

Are the new jumbo's lighter? I can't imagine there is anything much heavier than the Jumbo Deep Etched Cord Grips they used to use (although I still LOVE that grip).

If the new jumbo is the lamkin straight rubber grip which it does look like it is 114 grams

Surprised these arent getting more buzz...

So i purchases a ss17 blindly, should be here next week, but i finally got to roll both the QB and SS lines and was actually quite surprised. I didnt find the new rc face anymore firmer than the fit face, if it was it was very very small. The milling and looks are as good as in the pictures, just beautiful. Their milling in my opinion is the best among the big names like cameron, toulon, etc. The real shocker to me was the QB 12. First the finish looks better in person, it has a little bit of a flashy gold when looking up close but at address it has more of a brushed copper look. Really really nice. The feel was no doubt softer than the previous queen B lines, but still firmer than the SS. I really only got that typical queen b firmness on a bad mishit. The shape feel and look were fantastic, and i dont even really like plumbers necks.

Could you please elaborate more in details about the new RCF vs the FIT face. Thanks.

My comparison is based on memory as i didnt actually roll the two next to each other. I gamed a betti with fit face last year. The RCF may be a tad firmer, but its not much. Someone said its feel is more in line with the recent Camerons... i dont really disagree but id rate it like:

firmest to softest:

Honeycomb

flymill

cameron special select

rcf

fit

dont forget you can use balls to change these feels too. If its too soft, get a firmer ball, and vice versa.

One more question. Did you notice much weight difference between the Studio Stock and the BB series?

Bumping this guy....

I just ordered a SS28.  Always loved the shape, but never gamed one.  Came

very close to getting last release of the 28 slotback.  Told myself to just get it this time around and actually give it a chance.  Replaced the grip with the black sink fit, red is too distracting.  I’ll post pics after it arrives.  Pretty excited about it.

Got to see most of these in person Saturday in Dallas, as my local store only carries a few models.  After what has been another failed experiment over the past several weeks with high MOI putters, and buying a Spider tour, it is going back to the store as I have ordered a Queen Bee 11.  Should be here by the weekend I hope.

Has anyone else got a QB 11 yet?

Quite a few people who really know their stuff switching over to Bettinardi series where I live.

Just ordered a back up putter (QB 12) which is slightly heavier than my main putter but good alternative to have for different green types. Hopefully it will be arriving in a week or so.

If you liked the feel of honeycomb wait till you try honeycomb with copper plug. You will be blown away.

Bettinardi also has ghost face which is a tad bit firmer than honeycomb. There is also nano honeycomb (pic) which I have yet to try.

Yes the retail version is fantastic as well. I was just trying to let you know there are more versions of honeycomb out there.

Fancy stuff is more for the hard cores and collectors. Lol.

Add me to the QB12 family, came from a Cameron Studio Select Newport 2 for the past decade or so.  As mentioned before the color is outstanding, looks more copper IRL vs gold.  I like a firm feel that gets the ball to the hole and so far am very happy. I have the oversized Bettinardi grip which is still up in the air vs switching to the SS 2.0 I have played for a while.

I did roll the BB line and while they felt fine the roll control face didn’t seem special for my stroke.  The QB12 was just fantastic from the get go.

I lucked into a blackout ss17 on a trade a while back and compared it to my QB10 Hexperimental (raw carbon, fit face).

the RCF appears to get the ball rolling smoother more quickly and is a touch firmer than the FIT. Honestly was moving away from the FIT and the RCF is a really nice happy medium between honeycomb and FIT.

I sold the qb10 after falling out of love with it. Will I probably regret it? Yes. Am I going to the hive next week? Yes. Will I spend too much money? Also yes. We’ll see what comes home with me.

tegardless, the SS17 is staying with me, either as a gamer or backup. I’ve owned somewhere around 8 different bettinardis and new ss17 is special IMO

Picked up a 34 inch B12 today because it checked all my criteria and then some. Heavier than a standard blade, but not overly so. Even the 2021 Scottys feel too light for me. Slightly wider blade, but not too wide and blocky, it looks more like a standard blade than a wide blade, I like that, and having the added MOI in a blade  without the massive mass of a wide blade, mallet or fang. Also love the slightly rounded corners, perfect shape to my eye. Thin top line and nice alignment line. The standard QB12 lie angle sits perfectly for my putting posture which is upright with eyes over the ball and arms hanging all the way down with little elbow bend, I putt with my shoulders. The Lamkin standard grip is also in my Goldilocks zone, just right.  Aside from all the things that make it a perfect fit,  the looks and finish is simply stunning,  beautiful,  easily the best looking putter I've ever owned,  and believe me I've owned many of the most popular ones over the years.  I used to have a Studio Stock 8 and loved it except I always wished it was a bit wider, felt a bit firmer, and didn't rust! The QB12 addresses all those items, I'm a happy camper, this one just feels like it was custom made for me.
